Seasonal Air is a Canton, Massachusetts HVAC company customers call for central air and furnace work — the kind of job where a homeowner is deciding whether to trust an unfamiliar name with a broken system. Its written record is thin but pointed: two 5-star Google reviews, one from 2020 and one from 2021. In the 2020 review, a customer whose air conditioner died on a Friday night said owner John Dyke came out and diagnosed only the compressor as failed, telling them a new coil — despite another company's advice to replace both — wouldn't add any value. He'd installed that same system about 27 years earlier and the family's furnace about 10 years before that. The 2021 reviewer, replacing a 28-year-old failed unit, called the company honest and thorough, with a faster quote and install schedule than other companies they'd contacted. There isn't much else to check before calling — just two Google reviews and no licensing information turned up, so it's worth asking about credentials directly and getting a written estimate, as with any HVAC contractor. Seasonal Air looks like a fit for straightforward AC and furnace repair or replacement from a small, owner-run shop with a long history with at least some of its customers — go in with the standard questions any homeowner should ask before signing a contract.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Seasonal Air. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.

Can't say enough good things about the excellent work John @ Seasonal did replacing our 28 year old failed central air unit. Honest, very thorough, great communication, and quicker turnaround on writing up a quote and scheduling an install than many other companies I contacted. Thanks for keeping us cool 😎
Our central AC system died on Friday night. Saturday morning someone else came out and told us we needed an entire new system - compressor and coil. Monday (today) morning I talked to John Dyke, owner of Seasonal Air. He had installed the system about 27 years ago and also our furnace about 10 years ago. He said he’d come by this morning. When he got here, he confirmed that the compressor was fried but said there was no need whatsoever to replace the coil, that a new coil would be the same as what had installed 10 yrs ago and not add any value to our system. Then he proceeded to find and reserve for us the only compressor in stock in the area. And then he called and said he would squeeze in the job the same day! A real hero! Honest (job cost us far less than what he knew we already expected), true to his word, caring and responsive!
