Beverly Bees is a Beverly, MA apiary — honey, beeswax candles, skin care — that also does something most candle shops don't: live bee and wasp removal, run for 15 years as a sole proprietorship, per the Better Business Bureau, which gives it an A+. The two reviews that actually describe removal work are detailed and positive. In September 2025, a property manager describes technician Brian relocating a hive that had built up in a wall over roughly a year, working through a bathroom ceiling and then the exterior wall with a shopvac before patching up behind him. An August 2023 review describes a family choosing Beverly Bees specifically to relocate, not kill, a group of yellow jackets nesting in their front stairs, citing the company's reputation for humane removal. Most of the rest of the record is about the honey and candle side of the business: reviewers keep coming back for the honey — "the best-tasting local honey I've ever had," one wrote in 2022 — and the beeswax candles, praising the clean burn and the owner's personal attention; one 2025 reviewer says the owner met her nearby to hand off a jar when construction blocked the shop's entrance. The one sour note, in a 2022 review, describes a jar of honey that fermented and exploded, and a refund request that was denied after a week's delay. The most recent activity on file, from April 2026, is a review of a beekeeping class the company runs, Bee Boot Camp, praised for rebuilding a beginner's confidence after a rough season — a reminder the business runs education and retail alongside the removal work. If you're calling about a bee or wasp problem specifically, the two removal reviews above are the ones worth reading closely; there isn't much volume yet on that side of things.

I thoroughly enjoyed Bee Boot Camp and learned an enormous amount. I was not feeling confident after a loss in 2024 and a one year break in my beekeeping. I am starting again in a week with fresh enthusiasm and a great deal more confidence. The classes were very well taught and no question remained unanswered. I thoroughly recommend Bee Boot Camp for anyone at the beginning of their beekeeping journey and I am delighted I decided to attend.
Our property management folks hired Brian from Beverly Bees to remove a hive/nest that had formed in our wall over the course of a year or so. Brian came in and immediately impressed my wife and I wrote his knowledge, which was much welcomed after a year of us attempting to have the bees removed. He went in through the ceiling in our bathroom, and when that didn't yield access to the hive, he adjusted and gained access through the front exterior wall. Very impressive to see him work with the shopvac and other tools on the roof of our porch. After removing what was left of the hive he patched up both the inside and outside of the house! I would highly recommend these folks if you have bee removal needs. Don't make the mistake that our PM did, spraying with chemicals and whatnot - call Beverly Bees.
Purchased a jar of Beverly Bees honey for my family & I for seasonal allergies. Not only is the honey absolutely delicious, but the owners are wonderful and truly care about their work. There was some construction making it difficult for me to get to Beverly Bees, so the owner went out of his way to meet me nearby with my jar. Amazing customer service! Will purchase from them again!
Beverly Bees has fabulous, genuine beeswax candles in an array of sizes, designs, and price points. I enjoy the clean burn, the natural existing light honey smell without toxic additives. These candles are long lasting, pretty, shipped quickly, and I will be a repeat customer!! Thank you to you and your staff!
I met the vendor at his stand in a farmer’s market outside of the Boston Public Library. He was very engaging. As we were admiring his candles, bees started to fly around his products and he handled them like they were his friends. (He joked that they were trained, and I believed him until he said he was kidding!). The candles were beautiful and smelled lovely. I bought a rat and a sunflower for my girls, but he has more gorgeous selections online. I also bought some amazing chapstick that goes on very smooth without the stickiness of other wax-based lip balms. I didn’t try any honey only because I was flying home within a couple of hours, but if I get the chance, I will.
