Blue Mountain Painting is a Southborough outfit that shows up over and over in its own reviews for one thing: speed without cutting corners. One reviewer describes asking whether a 3,500-square-foot house could be painted in 48 hours; the crew not only did it but squeezed in extra work requested a day before the job started. Owner Jesse Loughlin runs the company; its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, and it carries an unusual volume of reviews for the trade — 235 ratings on Google alone, plus perfect 5.0 averages on both Angi and Thumbtack. The written record runs from 2021 through today across five sources, with 22 reviews landing in just the last six months and none negative. Specific jobs described include prepping and painting historical wainscoting and trim dating to 1795 in one living room, and 150-year-old trim in another home's kitchen, dining room, and study. Reviewers also describe deck and porch work that goes beyond straight painting — power washing, sanding, and staining an IPE deck and a garage-door pergola, and refinishing a pair of two-decker porches that "got lots of compliments." When something breaks mid-project, it tends to get fixed on the spot: a damaged window screen was repaired immediately during an exterior job, rotted trim got replaced during another repaint, and a torn-out towel rack and shelving holes in a bathroom and laundry closet were drywalled, plastered, and painted to look new again. The one blemish on an otherwise clean record is a 2023 review that had nothing to do with painting quality: a homeowner complained that the company's door-to-door marketing ignored a posted no-soliciting sign, and that the response when they called about it was dismissive enough that they reported it to the local police. It's worth knowing about even though it says nothing about how the actual paint work turns out. Blue Mountain suits a homeowner who wants speed and reliability on a standard repaint, or who needs a crew comfortable working around historic trim and woodwork without damaging it. If door-knocking marketing has shown up at your house, that's the one thing worth raising — otherwise, the volume and consistency of the written record here is hard to match.
The crew is awesome. Communication is terrific and the final product gorgeous. I highly recommend this company.
Affordable, fast, and great attention to detail. I asked if they could paint a 3500sqft house in 48 hours - not only did they accomplish that, they somehow also did some extra work i requested 24 hours before the job. The team is friendly and communicative, they showed up on time, and the painting was very well done. Will use again.
I’ve used Blue Mountain Painting twice now and both times they have been fantastic to work with. The painters do an amazing job, Jesse and Fabiana are very easy to work with, and their prices are reasonable. I highly recommend them!
Jesse and his crew were fantastic. We had a pretty big project that he tackled professionally and as we added projects Jesse was more than happy to add them to his crews work order. From scheduling to clean-up it was a very easy process.
The team at Blue Mountain Painting was very respectful, neat and professional while completing the job right on time. Completely stress free. I will recommend them to everyone. Thank you all at Blue Mountain for a job well done.
