Braga Bros Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical

Braga Bros is a family-owned Hyannis contractor doing residential and light-commercial HVAC, plumbing and electrical work across Cape Cod — heat pumps, boilers and geothermal through to water heaters, gas lines, panel upgrades and generators, with 24-hour emergency service and NATE-certified technicians. The company holds two Massachusetts licences on the state registry: sheet metal licence 612-SM-B, active under Braga Bros Inc, which is the trade licence behind its ductwork and HVAC installations, and plumbing licence 15668-PL-M, active under Alex Braga. The plumbing number is also the one printed on the company's own site. Emergency work is the thread through the reviews. In a July 2026 review a National Grid meter change turned up a leaking pipe and a locked meter days before a family visit; the crew coordinated with the town inspector and the utility to get the house running again in time. In a February 2025 review a technician named Sean worked four hours in the cold to restore heat an hour before a snowstorm. In a February 2024 review, office staff put a technician on FaceTime so the homeowner could find and close the main water valve while a pipe was leaking, with the fees explained before anyone was dispatched. A wide cast of names recurs — Alex, Sean, Ricardo and Jean-Paul among the technicians, Simone and Jenna on the phones — and several reviewers mention a text with the technician's photograph and short biography on the morning of the appointment. The one-vendor pitch shows up in the reviews too: a June 2026 reviewer hired Braga for plumbing, HVAC and electrical together on a home addition, and another used the company for a large commercial renovation and later for an unrelated basement toilet pump leak. A June 2026 reviewer describes a central heat pump planned and installed by the company, rated to operate to 22 degrees below zero, with the ductwork singled out for praise by other contractors who saw it afterwards. Of the 56 reviews in the last six months, one is negative: an April 2026 reviewer says a technician spent about 20 minutes on site to quote a single-to-double sink vanity upgrade, took a few measurements and never inspected or tested the existing plumbing. For remodel work rather than a service call, ask what the quote is based on. For plumbing, heating, cooling or electrical work on the mid-Cape, Braga Bros is a strong call, especially when a job crosses more than one trade.
