Carpenters Roofing is a Medford roofing contractor with a short but consistently positive review history — eight reviews from 2025 to 2026, all five stars on Google, describing everything from small storm-damage repairs to full roof replacements. The company says it started as a team of local carpenters who moved into roofing, and serves towns across the Boston area including Cambridge, Somerville, Malden, and Waltham. The reviews are specific and varied. One describes a crew responding after a storm knocked tiles loose, fixing the damage the same visit and pointing out where the roof could be reinforced. Others describe a full re-roof completed with an upfront, detailed quote about materials and methods; a commercial roof repair and replacement finished quickly; a full shingle replacement that's held up through storms; and a metal roof installed on a cabin that came out better than expected. One reviewer had a pre-sale roof inspection done and used the resulting certificate to help close the home sale, and another described a same-day fix for a leaking vent pipe, with the crew declining to push additional work. One thing worth knowing: parts of the company's own website copy reference regions outside Massachusetts — the Pacific Northwest, Southern Oregon, California — which points to templated marketing content rather than material written specifically for this business. That doesn't undercut the reviews, but it means the site's stated certifications (GAF, Owens Corning) and its self-reported A+ BBB rating haven't been independently verified here and are worth confirming directly. For roof repair, replacement, or inspection in the Medford area, the review record so far is strong and detailed. Ask the company to confirm its certifications and BBB status directly rather than relying on the website copy.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Carpenters Roofing. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A square is 100 sq ft of roof surface — bigger than the floor plan because of pitch and overhangs.

After a big storm knocked off some tiles, we called to have the roof looked at and some small repairs made. The crew quickly got there, saw the damage, and fixed it right away. They even told us how to make areas stronger that might not be strong in the future. The job was well done, and everyone was nice and neat. It's not always the case, but this roofing company is both quick and careful.
They did a great job putting a new roof on top of our old one. Call Carpenters Roofing. The crew gave an accurate quote ahead of time and talked in great depth about the materials and methods they would use. They were on time, polite, and worked quickly on the day they put it in. They cleaned up really well and didn't leave any trash behind. The new roof looks good and will last a long time. They were honest and paid attention to everything, which made a tough job look easy.
They helped us with both roof repair and replacement for our business. They were very professional and had the job done in no time.
Our old shingles were falling apart, so we called these guys for a replacement. The new roof is beautiful and has held up well in storms.
We ultimately had to replace the complete roof after years of fixing leaks. We wish we had done it sooner. They made it simple.
