An architect and builder of forty years wrote in July 2023 that Comfort Man designed and installed the best AC system he had worked with — a three-zone ducted setup quiet enough that you cannot hear it run. Comfort Man works out of Mashpee. Its Better Business Bureau profile lists co-owner Stacy Dwyer, eight employees and a start date of 1967 with incorporation in 1998, and carries an A+ on a business the bureau states is not accredited. The work is residential HVAC — installation and service on gas, oil and hot-air systems, plus duct cleaning. Its BuildZoom profile records 52 permitted projects, eleven of them in the past three years, including gas furnace replacements in Falmouth and East Falmouth between 2022 and 2025. Customers here count their time in decades. One writing in January 2024 has used the company for more than thirty years; another in October 2023 for twenty, twice a year for seasonal checkups, and said the employees stay on. A July 2024 customer whose AC quit called the same company that had installed the system more than ten years earlier and had someone out the next business day. In May 2026, a customer having a central AC condenser and coil replaced said the owner was there working alongside his technicians. On Nextdoor in January 2026, a Mashpee neighbor answered someone with "Call the comfort man in Mashpee." One account from January 2025 runs hard the other way. A customer whose furnace the company had worked on for years called after losing heat and was told that if it was still the same old furnace, they would not look at it, come out to diagnose it, or name another heating company to try. Two practical notes before you call. The company's own website is a placeholder — one line, a 2018 copyright, no services, contact details or service area — so its BBB listing is where the phone number lives. And BuildZoom displays a licence badge without publishing a number, telling readers to confirm the status with the local licensing authority. For a Mashpee-area furnace or AC install from a shop whose customers have stayed thirty years, with the owner on site for the work, this is a small long-running outfit. Ask up front whether they will service the equipment you already have and how old is too old, because that is exactly where one long-standing customer was turned away.
