Create Build & Remodel Inc

Create Build & Remodel is a Hyannis, MA general contractor run by John DeMoura that handles the full arc of a home project — additions, whole-house remodels, kitchens, bathrooms, carpentry and landscaping — with a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#197431) that is registry-verified active. The company's own site tells two different histories: one says John launched Create Build & Remodel in 2018 after growing up in his father's smaller Cape Cod remodeling business, then acquired that business in 2023; a separate line on the same site claims '20+ years of experience, since 2003' and 23 years in business. Those don't reconcile, so treat the deeper claim as the family's combined trade history rather than this entity's own track record. What the reviews describe is consistent, whichever timeline is right. In a 2024 review, one homeowner in Orleans described three years of work with the crew — a new kitchen and laundry room, three renovated bathrooms, and flooring, tile and trim replaced throughout the house. Another 2024 review described an entire-house remodel that touched the kitchen, added an outdoor shower, redid bedroom closets, and replaced siding and gutters. A finish-carpentry client, also writing in 2024, praised the same close attention to detail, and in a September 2025 review a longtime customer described five years of work together — a deck, a bathroom, and, most recently, a backyard stone terrace and a long front walkway. On Google the company holds a 4.9-star average across 32 ratings, and BuildZoom's permit records show 17 projects pulled on Cape Cod, 13 of them in the past three years. One 2024 review is worth knowing about before calling: a customer said the company advertises 24/7 availability but is actually reachable Monday through Friday — worth confirming directly if a fast response matters to the job. For a homeowner planning a bigger remodel — a kitchen, an addition, a multi-room overhaul — this is a family-run crew with a deep bench of repeat customers on Cape Cod, though it's worth asking directly how long the current entity itself has been operating.
