A $5000 boiler quote, and a repair that came in at not even a quarter of it. That is how a 2026 customer described D&S Mechanical LLP: another company had come out near 11pm, said it lacked the parts and priced the job at $5000 or more, so the landlords began shopping for a new boiler. Kevin and Chris of D&S came out, saw what was wrong almost right away, had the parts on hand and fixed it within two hours. A 2026 customer who lost heat said Kevin and Chris spoke with them just about every day, found a furnace part that another company said was not made, and fixed the attic ladder while they were there. A 2026 customer who came home from vacation to an empty oil tank on a Sunday evening said Kevin offered to walk them through the restart instead of charging an emergency fee, spent the next hour on it with them, and the system was bled and the heat back on at no cost. A 2025 customer said D and S was there within 30 minutes after the boiler stopped working, and the heat was back on.
Big shout out to D&S Mechanical LLP!!! Kevin and Chris came out and saved my week!! My landlords had called a different company yesterday. They got here at almost 11pm last night. They were here for 15/20 minutes, and said they didn't have the parts on hand, and that the job was going to cost at least $5000. My landlords were now shopping for new boilers. That company was coming back to now measure and price out a boiler this morning. I suggested they try D&S. These guys came out, could tell, pretty much immediately, what was wrong. They had the parts, on hand. They fixed it withing two hours. It was NOWHERE NEAR $5000. It wasnt even 1/4 of that. That's how badly the other company was gouging. These guys are hardworking, honest men, that just just get the job done. Let me tell you, after 2 days without my heat working, and them saving my landlords that kind of money, they are my heroes!! Because new boilers aren't cheap, and those costs roll downhill to the renter eventually. Thank you, again, D&S Mechanical LLP!!!
Kevin and Chris were amazing… they were so helpful and were very communicative, I lost my heat and they spoke with me just about everyday. When they came over they fixed my ladder to the attic while they were here! They found a part for my furnace that another company said they did not make. I highly recommend if anyone needs a company that is honest and will do what’s best for you, these are your guys!
I just wanted to write a review to thank Kevin at D&S mechanical for helping me in an emergency situation. I came home from vacation to find out that we had run out of oil, and it was 40 degrees in the house. I had to pay the oil company an emergency charge to come out and deliver oil, but their technicians are not able to restart the furnace. They suggested I call D&S. Being that it was a Sunday evening, I would’ve had to pay another emergency fee for them to come out. But Kevin told me he could walk me through it if I was comfortable with that. He then spent the next hour helping me figure out what tools to use, and talking me through the process. It was complicated and time-consuming, and he didn’t seem even remotely bothered by my technical ignorance. I was finally able to bleed the system with his help…and we now have heat again. And it didn’t cost me a thing! Thank you so much, Kevin!
