The recent record is dense and consistent: 21 reviews in the past six months, none negative. The jobs described are substantial rather than routine. A January 2026 customer had a new liner, masonry repairs, three added courses of brick and a new cap. An October 2025 job pulled a broken clay flue, installed an aluminum one, built the chimney up to code and repointed the old brickwork. In February 2025 a homeowner living in an old barn with a failing aluminum liner had it replaced in stainless in a single day. After a chimney fire in November 2025, a customer wrote that Dave helped push a balking insurer into covering the repairs. One April 2025 reviewer had them back a second time, having first hired them for masonry work on a foundation. Where the complaints land is the estimate, not the workmanship. In September 2022 a caller who wanted a straightforward sweep was told a camera inspection was required alongside it at $475, and gave one star over it.
