One hundred and ninety-nine permitted jobs, and the great majority are the same job: strip the old shingles, put a new roof on. All Under One Roof is a Methuen sole proprietorship BBB records as started in 1974 and run by owner John Lanzafame with six employees, working roofs, siding, gutters, skylights, chimney and masonry work and composite decks. Troy Couture is the foreman on the permits and the estimator customers deal with. Its permits run through Methuen, Stow, Lowell, Maynard and Newbury, with a typical job value around $12,600. What homeowners keep coming back to isn't the shingles — it's the housekeeping. Across a review history running from 2017 to now, the same details repeat: tarps over the siding and shrubs, wood laid under the dumpster so the driveway doesn't crack, magnets run over the yard for nails, quoted price matching the final bill. Angi shows 4.9 from 109 reviews, 96% of them five stars. This winter one customer texted about an ice dam and had two crew clearing the roof within hours. Two things temper that. Google's small sample runs cooler — 4.3 from six ratings — and while the deep written history is genuinely deep, much of it is dated: the newest of the older written accounts on its public pages is from 2020, and only one review has landed in the past six months. On licensing, be careful here. The Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration we checked, number 117436, is expired — BuildZoom also shows that number as inactive and once cancelled. BuildZoom separately lists a different HIC number, 137057, which it says it verified active in March 2026; that is the directory's check, not ours. Its BBB page is an A+ and it has been BBB-accredited since 2001. For a straightforward roof replacement — including big, layered old New England roofs — this is a crew with a long, traceable record of doing it on schedule and leaving the site clean. Before signing, ask them directly for the current HIC registration number and verify it yourself at the state's Consumer Affairs site, and get the warranty terms in writing, since several customers cited the warranty as the reason they chose them.

With all the snow we got this winter, I did wind up having an issue with an ice dam. I texted John and asked what could be done and he sent over two of his crew and a few hours later the snow was off the roof.

Overall it went great. John was down quickly after I first contacted him. He came out in person to give me information and confirm the online measurements. Between meeting him, reading the reviews online, and the impeccable warranty I felt very comfortable choosing him (the price was in the middle of the other quotes I got). The whole process took 3 real long days. Obviously it is loud and disruptive while they are working... but you only need a new roof once. I would suggest not parking in your driveway as there are a lot of people and trucks. At the end they cleaned up very nicely. They are a legit roofing company so they pull permits. Overall I am quite please for the job, cost, time etc. Job cost $31,900.

All under one roof did a fantastic job removing two layers of shingles and installing new roof. The whole team was hard working and completed the job in one day. When they were done my yard was cleaned of all debris.
