All Under One Roof works out of Methuen doing full roof tear-offs and re-shingles, plus siding, chimney and masonry work — and the thing that keeps coming up across its reviews is protectiveness: tarps over the landscaping and driveway, magnets swept through the yard for stray nails, cleanup finished before the crew leaves. Angi shows a 4.9★ average across 109 ratings, 96% five-star, and BuildZoom's permit records back that up with 199 permitted projects and a score in the top 8% of Massachusetts contractors, mostly strip-and-reshingle jobs plus skylights, gutters and siding across Methuen, Stow, Lowell, Maynard and Newbury. BBB lists the company as a sole proprietorship John Lanzafame has run since 1974, A+ rated and accredited since 2001. Reviews naming Lanzafame and estimator Troy Couture describe full roof replacements running $13,700 to $20,000 and a $250 detailed roof inspection, jobs typically wrapped in two to three days — in a 2021 review, a homeowner on a 200-plus-year-old Newburyport Federal described stripping three layers of old roofing and rebuilding around a removed chimney and skylight. In a 2026 review, a customer described texting about a winter ice dam and having a crew clear the snow off within hours. One thing worth flagging: a 2021 Google review said the company never responded at all — an outlier against an otherwise dense, detailed record of on-time, cleaned-up jobs. Worth confirming directly too: the state registry shows the company's original Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#117436) has expired, though BuildZoom's own records separately list a newer registration under a different number that it describes as active. For a full roof replacement or a chimney/siding job in the Merrimack Valley, this is a crew whose reviews keep praising the site protection and cleanup as much as the roof itself — just confirm the current license number directly before signing anything.
With all the snow we got this winter, I did wind up having an issue with an ice dam. I texted John and asked what could be done and he sent over two of his crew and a few hours later the snow was off the roof.
Great company to work with, installed a new roof on my house in Methuen. They where on time and clean work looks great !!!
Overall it went great. John was down quickly after I first contacted him. He came out in person to give me information and confirm the online measurements. Between meeting him, reading the reviews online, and the impeccable warranty I felt very comfortable choosing him (the price was in the middle of the other quotes I got). The whole process took 3 real long days. Obviously it is loud and disruptive while they are working... but you only need a new roof once. I would suggest not parking in your driveway as there are a lot of people and trucks. At the end they cleaned up very nicely. They are a legit roofing company so they pull permits. Overall I am quite please for the job, cost, time etc. Job cost $31,900.
I have had this company do a number of roofing jobs for me. They have been excellent.
John and his team did a great job replacing my whole roof. The team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish (including cleaning up thoroughly afterward). I would highly recommend the services of All Under One Roof.
