Deyvin's Construction is a Lynn, MA outfit run by David — called Dave, Deyvin, or Devin depending on the review — that homeowners call for the kind of job that starts as one thing and becomes several: a leaking roof that turns into new gutters and fascia, a rotted porch that turns into a full rebuild. Across 71 reviews running from 2021 through this summer, the same crew keeps showing up for roofing, gutters, fencing, carpentry, and full remodel work around the North Shore. Winter storm season is where this crew earns its reputation. A June 2026 review recounts David's team repairing a roof, fascia, and soffits and replacing gutters after ice-dam water damage from that winter, and a February 2026 review said Deyvin arrived on a Sunday, the same day he was called, to clear snow and chip ice out of the gutters before it flooded the house. Another, also from February 2026, described a full roof snow-clear finished in under two hours the morning after a quote. Historic and specialty carpentry work shows up too. A November 2025 review described restoring 100-year-old wooden gutters on an Andover home while keeping its original design intact, and a July 2025 review detailed rebuilding 40-plus aging outdoor stairs — new five-inch screws, concrete pedestals under the unsupported sections, a power-wash, primer, and two coats of paint. In a 2023 review, a homeowner described a porch rebuild where David flagged hidden rot only after demolition began and charged just for the added material, even though the customer chose to pay extra for the work anyway. Recent activity backs all of this up: the last six months brought eight new reviews and not a single negative one, on top of a written record that runs back to 2021 without a sour note in it. There's little to flag going in. The state lists its home improvement contractor registration as active, and the BBB grades it A+. Given how often one job here turns into several trades — roof work becoming gutter work becoming carpentry — the one thing worth pinning down up front is the full scope before the crew starts, since past customers describe the list growing once the work is underway.
We recently had David and his crew out to repair our roof, fascia, and soffits, and replace our gutters after experiencing a lot of water damage from the ice dams this past winter. The team did an amazing job! They demonstrated attention to detail and excellent craftsmanship. They always arrived when they said they would, the job site was left clean each day, and David explained each step to us so we could understand the process. I highly recommend David and his crew from Deyvin's Construction!
David and his men have completed a variety of indoor and outdoor home improvements to our home. Not only is he reliable and efficient, but he also has a creative artistic flair. We recommend David to friends who also rave about him.
