Dream Kitchens & Baths by Nelson, Inc.

Dream Kitchens & Baths by Nelson has been running out of the same corner of Leominster since 1993, when Nelson Lee — who'd already been in the kitchen and bath trade since 1988 — opened it out of a showroom on Central Street before moving into its current 3,500-square-foot space on Mead Street. Nelson still does the design work himself, and the reviews that exist describe him personally walking clients through cabinet and countertop choices over months rather than a single showroom visit. The written record is thin — just 8 reviews on file — but consistent. One customer spent months in design sessions with Nelson picking cabinets and a countertop, and when a cabinet arrived damaged in shipping, he got the manufacturer to fix it fast. Another had two shower replacements installed with minimal mess despite a couple of delays along the way. A third had a tile shower built around a cast-iron pan with grab bars, praised for quick, clear work by the crew. In a 2008 Angi review, a customer described having their kitchen fully gutted and redesigned, with cabinets installed in a single day. Independent of anything Dream Kitchens says about itself, BuildZoom's permit records back up the scale of the work: 20 permitted projects on file, mostly kitchen and bathroom remodels across towns like Fitchburg, Gardner, Worcester and Holden, with a typical permit running about $23,000. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, and its BBB profile carries an A+ grade. One number worth checking: the company's own site says 33 years in business, while its Angi profile's highlight reads '26 years of experience' — worth asking which reflects the current team if longevity matters to you. Given how little written feedback there is per year of operation, it's worth asking to see recent project photos or a reference before committing to a full remodel.
