Electronic Restoration Systems is a Hudson, New Hampshire company that specializes in restoring electronics — computers, equipment, anything a fire, flood, smoke or power surge has damaged — rather than rebuilding the structure itself. The Better Business Bureau profile lists it as owned by Ed Cornish and in business since January 2003. The written history splits into two eras. In a 2022 review, a customer credited the company with restoring computers and other electronics after a house fire that had made their home uninhabitable for months. More recently, two 2025 reviews describe a rockier picture under what one calls new ownership: one customer said the company lost their equipment and was unresponsive and deceitful, pricing 50% higher than a competitor's quote for the same work; another complained employees drank their beer and left the empties in the yard. A Better Business Bureau review separately alleges the company collected a customer's belongings after a fire without providing a complete, accurate inventory list. Google currently shows 3.7 stars from six ratings, and the Better Business Bureau does not rate or accredit the business. Given the gap between the older, positive account and the more recent complaints, it's worth asking directly about current ownership, getting a written inventory of anything collected, and confirming pricing before signing anything — especially since fire and water damage jobs often move fast and under pressure.
The employees drank our beer and tossed the empties in the yard
Disastrous new ownership. This place will be bankrupt before long. Lost our equipment. Totally unresponsive and deceitful. I tried pricing the restoration with a competitor. Came in at 50% less. If only I could get the equipment back.
I had an electrical fire in my home at the end of August which made my home uninhabitable for up to a year (based on estimated I was given due to contractor backups and material shortages). Electronic Restoration Systems was hired to restore all of my electronics - computers, vacuum cleaners, electric fireplaces, TVs, you name it. They did a fantastic job. Ed Cornish, the president of the company, was personally involved in every step of the process. His crew is professional, polite and efficient. Ed is wonderful to deal with and stands behind everything his company does. Dealing with such an awful event like a home fire is very stressful; Ed and his crew reduced that stress. Thank you!
Dishonest and unresponsive. They collected our belongings after a fire without giving us a complete and accurate inventory list.
