US Water Consultants Inc is a Windham, New Hampshire, family-owned water treatment and radon specialist that says it has sold, installed and serviced residential and commercial water systems, and tested for arsenic, PFOS/PFAS and radon in air and water, for more than 40 years. It carries an A+ Better Business Bureau grade and strong numbers across the platforms it's rated on most broadly — 4.9 stars from 83 ratings on both Angi and HomeAdvisor, and 4 stars from 19 on Google. The written reviews here, spanning 2019 through 2025, describe a company that moves fast and explains its work. A 2023-08-25 review said Chris and Brian set up a pH system, water softener and radon system in a single day for less than comparable contractors quoted; a 2022-04-01 Angi review said the price was the lowest of several quotes and came with the longest warranty; a 2020-07-01 review described owner Mark personally coming out to estimate a job and comparing equipment options in detail. One 2020 review noted the crew waited nearly an hour at a road closure rather than miss the scheduled appointment. There are two real issues worth knowing about, too. A 2025-02-18 review said a system the company installed in 2021 has started failing — it backflushed particles into the water once, and more recently introduced air into the supply faucets — and the company couldn't identify the cause. Separately, two reviews, from November 2023 and September 2024, described emails and calls going unanswered: one from a prospective buyer seeking a quote, another from an existing customer asking for a service referral. Those two accounts sit inside a much larger record that, by the company's Angi and HomeAdvisor numbers, runs considerably more positive than this smaller written sample suggests on its own — 83 ratings apiece at 4.9 stars is a strong track record, and it's worth weighing the two complaints against that fuller picture rather than in isolation. Given the mix, it's a reasonable choice with a long history in the trade — just worth asking directly about response times for post-install service, and getting equipment specifics and warranty terms in writing before work begins.
Just had Keith over for my water softener service, and the service was great. He was very nice, and respectful. I had a ton of questions for him while he was working, and he answered everything simply. I’ve talked to other water system companies, and dealt with a lot of sales pitches. I appreciate the direct answers from US Water Consultants and the great info they given me since I’ve been a customer.
The Entipur Aircycle system they installed in 2021 is starting to crap out. Once this system last Spring backflushed particles from the tank into our water. They had no idea why. Recently, within the past 2 weeks, there has been air in our supply faucets caused by the Entipur. How do I know? When i disconnect it, there is no burst of air when i turn on any house faucet. Turn it back on, and there’s a burst of air when you turn on a faucet. Other issues as well: forgetting to turn bypass valve off after a service call. The plumbing using pex was not secured to the basement wall, just hangs from well supply line to Entipur. After 4 years, I need a better solution. Done with this.
We are so impressed with US Water Consultants. We bought a house and knew we needed radon mitigation for both air and water due to tests during inspection. Firstly, the gentleman that helped us with the estimate was very honest. We thought we would need a bubble up system, as another company also told us such, and the water levels were not great. He let us know that it’s really not necessary, several thousand dollars more and can break, if we don’t need it, don’t get it. We ended up getting a filter and upon follow up tests removed the radon to negligible levels. The two gentleman that installed were polite, professional and efficient. They took the time to explain to us the process, and what they installed and what to look out for. Additionally, where the installed the air system had an exterior outlet right there so they took off the electrician fee since he didn’t need to run a new outlet. Finally, Karen in the office was great, she was able to squeeze us in earlier when our closing date got moved up. Overall, if anyone needs any radon mitigation I could not recommend US Water Consultants more.
Contacted them after our radon system had an issue. We asked them for a recommendation of a local technician who would service the brand that they installed. No reply to our email or return phone call after many attempts.
