Fagone Plumbing, Heating & HVAC is the kind of Marblehead outfit that gets called at 6:30am and has a job finished by 1pm — the pattern across roughly 200 Google reviews since 2021 is fast, same-day dispatch even overnight, on holidays, and mid-blizzard. A pump on a boiler failed on New Year's Day; the owner, Nick, was on call and had it fixed within hours. A 50-gallon water heater died overnight; by early afternoon a new one, plus a rebuilt shutoff valve, exhaust piping and gas lines, was installed. Individual technicians get named constantly and consistently — Jesse, Sabor, Nick, Ryan, Connor and Chris show up across dozens of reviews for explaining exactly what they found and what they did, whether that's adjusting a burner and bleeding radiators, tracing a gas leak, or walking a homeowner through a repair-versus-replace decision on an aging AC condenser. Several reviewers mention small courtesies — shoe covers on a rainy day, hallways swept clean after a big install — that keep coming up alongside the technical work. The clearest recurring complaint is about price relative to the size of the job. One customer says a roughly 30-minute expansion-tank swap came to a $510 invoice, split across two technicians' hourly rates; another says a 20-minute water-pressure-meter fix with about $30 in parts cost $600; a third, an elderly customer having a water heater installed on a Sunday, says the diagnostic fee and drive-time charges weren't made clear before the work started, on a $3,100 bill. A separate 2026 review describes two unanswered callback promises on a warranty issue and a duct-sealing quote several times higher than a competitor's. In a 2023 review, a customer also described a slow emergency response on a sub-zero, no-heat night and switched to another company rather than wait for a mid-afternoon appointment window. Fagone's Massachusetts plumbing license is registry-verified active, and Better Business Bureau rates the company A+. For routine plumbing and HVAC work — installs, repairs, seasonal maintenance — the volume and consistency of the praise here is real; for anything priced by the hour or quoted as an emergency diagnostic, it's worth asking for the number in writing before the truck rolls.
“We’ve used Fagone in Marblehead and Foulkas from Peabody (I think)”

“I used Fagone and was very pleased.”
Service was great
Fagone is great. They came right out. The guys were great and they did a fantastic job. Highly recommend!!
Grateful for Jesse coming out on short notice to fix our kitchen sink issue. We will definitely be having him back. Total professional and great guy.
I am really disappointed with the lack of communcation from Fagone. I contacted them twice in one week about a warranty issue and was promised callbacks both times that never happened. I was left without any follow up or resolution. In addition, I was quoted $3,500 for a limited duct sealing and insulation job. After reaching out to another company, I learned this price was significantly higher than what was required.
We were extremely happy with the service received from Fagone Plumbing recently. We had a major pipe failure problem and they showed up in a very timely manner, worked cleanly, and got the job done for a very reasonable cost. We would highly recommend Fagone in the future.
