Floor Coverings International of Metro NW Boston is a flooring franchise branch based in Acton, run by owner Michael DelRossi, who brings a mobile showroom of carpet, tile, vinyl, laminate and hardwood samples directly into customers' homes rather than asking them to visit a store. The company says it covers towns across the MetroWest corridor — Concord, Framingham, Marlborough, Sudbury, Westford and more — for both residential and commercial work. The volume of praise is hard to ignore: 118 reviews collected from 2024 through 2026 across six platforms, the overwhelming majority five stars, with 120 ratings on Google and another 108 on Thumbtack. What repeats across dozens of reviewers, recent and older alike, is Mike himself showing up for the consultation — bringing samples, taking measurements, and walking homeowners through options without pushing an upsell. This year, customers describe carpet swapped across four bedrooms, old carpet pulled and the subfloor leveled before new vinyl went down, and a kitchen backsplash tile chosen with the owner's help from selection through completion. In a 2024 review, a homeowner credited the crew with sanding and refinishing badly worn floors in a 1940s house. Site supervisor Marcus comes up almost as often as Mike — reviewers credit him with installing engineered hardwood through an entire home while checking in throughout, and coordinating around other trades already on site during tighter timelines. Not every account is glowing. On Thumbtack, one customer said Mike's initial consultation was thorough and technically sound — he flagged the need for floor leveling before new material went down — but the actual execution didn't live up to what was promised. That's worth asking about directly if subfloor prep is part of your job. Beyond that account, the pattern is a crew that shows up on schedule, finishes multi-room jobs in a matter of days, and cleans up afterward — several reviewers specifically mention the old carpet, pad and debris leaving with the crew rather than staying behind. Reviewers also single out more involved work, like tile matched across two directions with a low-profile transition into existing hardwood. This is a good fit for someone who wants a guided, in-home selection process for standard flooring — carpet, vinyl, tile or hardwood — rather than a full room remodel. Before booking, it's worth confirming directly how they'd handle any leveling or subfloor prep the job needs, given the one dissenting account among an otherwise consistent record.
Fantastic experience from start to finish! The team did an excellent job installing our carpet. They were fast, clean, professional, and very responsive throughout the entire process. What really stood out was how much time they took to understand what we needed and make sure the final result was exactly what we were looking for. The installation was done beautifully, and they left everything clean and tidy. Highly recommend them — great workmanship and great customer service. We’re very happy with the results!
Two rooms of carpet had to be taken out and two hallways. Mike’s team did an excellent job! The new flooring is beautiful. I would definitely use their services again.
Very professional and did a great job.
Carpet was removed, the floor was leveled as needed, and the vinyl flooring was installed beautifully. The took with them the old carpet and pad and their tools and trash bag. I am very happy with the installation!
Amazing experience! We had carpet replaced in 4 bedrooms. First, we met with Mike (owner of the franchise), who came to our house with lots of samples and took measurements to provide quote. He listened to what we wanted and offered great suggestions and didn't try to "upsell" but rather his goal was to "right sell". He's very professional, takes pride in his business and genuinely wants his customers to be delighted with the outcome. Mike nailed it with us! The morning of our install, Mike showed up before the two installers arrived, to be sure they knew the plan. The installers (Eddie and his friend??) were top notch. They moved all the furniture with great care before laying down the carpet with meticulous precision. The guys were accommodating, incredibly strong, worked their tails off, cleaned up and got it all done in one day, where it would be a 2 day job for most installers. We were more than happy to tip them to show our appreciation for all their hard work and they were very grateful. Once they left, I immediately called Mike to tell him our experience and what a fabulous job they did. He was thrilled to hear all about it. Also, I have a friend that had a similar experience with floor tiling that they did for her, referring to Mike and his entire team, as "exceptional". Mike is definitely the go-to guy for any type of flooring,
