Flooring Wizards

Ask around Cape Cod for a floor guy and Eric's name comes up fast — reviewers call him a craftsman, and the work backs it up: 300-year-old pine brought back without losing its character, a 100-year-old studio floor turned into something reviewers call spectacular. Flooring Wizards, based in South Yarmouth, installs and refinishes hardwood, laminate, and vinyl floors, handles stair installation and floor repair, and says it has worked Cape Cod for 10 years. Across 109 reviews on Google, Angi, and HomeAdvisor going back to 2018, one thing barely varies: Eric shows up when he says he will, calls with updates instead of leaving customers guessing, and protects the house from dust while he sands. Jobs range from a single room's refinish to full-house installs — one customer had old carpet pulled out and new hardwood put down across an entire first floor, another had Eric remove the furniture and finish a whole house while they were away for eight days. There isn't much to flag here — the reviews stay almost entirely five stars across eight years. The one practical thing worth planning around is timing: one 2025 review described a six-month gap between an initial consult in October and the scheduled refinishing job the following April, so book ahead if the timeline matters. Flooring Wizards is a strong call for hardwood refinishing, installation, or repair anywhere on the Cape, including trickier antique floors other companies might turn down. Ask about the current schedule up front, since demand for the crew can run months out.
