Fraser Engineering works at a scale most houses never need: its Procore listing shows 16 projects, three of them active, averaging about $11.6 million each. The Franklin company describes itself as a multi-trade industrial and commercial mechanical contractor — HVAC, plumbing, process piping, industrial controls, prefabrication and maintenance across Massachusetts and New England. It says it has served Massachusetts since 1950, 75 years, and is now run by the third generation of the family, woman-owned and family-owned. Its Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office Women Business Enterprise certification, 20090233, is active on the state registry and runs through 2027. A 2010 trade-magazine article named Cecelia (C.J.) and Shawna Fraser as the ones running the firm. Customers write about timing. In an October 2025 review, a facilities customer said Fraser shows up on time. A September 2025 reviewer working with their own clients described a complicated heating system in Brookline that Fraser sorted out, and said to call them for that kind of expertise. Back in August 2022, a customer called the work timely and professional from the first phone call through the bill, and the price reasonable. One thing to raise before signing: safetyrecord.org reports five OSHA inspections of the company since 1993, producing six violations and $1,700 in penalties on record. This is the contractor for a building's mechanical guts — a boiler plant, process piping, controls — rather than a house call. Ask which of their trades would carry your job and who would run it, and get the schedule and price in writing before anyone mobilizes.
