Fred's Plumbing and Heating is a family-owned East Freetown plumbing business that says it has operated since 2003. Its stated work covers residential and commercial plumbing, drain and sewer cleaning, waterline repairs, hot-water heaters, and bathroom/plumbing remodeling. The customer history is mixed: a 2026 review describes an emergency visit as efficient and kind, and an October 2024 homeowner said the plumber diagnosed a problem within minutes and returned with his crew the next morning. Older reviews praise follow-up after installation and neat water-heater work, while other reviewers reported a final bill above the rough quote, a three-day wait, high pricing, and poor shower workmanship. Before booking, get the scope, hourly rate, materials, and change-order policy in writing; ask how bathroom remodeling is supervised and confirm the emergency response window.
Jeremiah and Henrique remolded my main floor-what was once a very 90’s home now feels modern and perfectly suited for 2026. The transformation was incredible. They also remodeled my sisters home and all I can say is WOW. The results speak for themselves. Both Jeremiah and Henrique are trustworthy, professional, and work with a highly skilled, experienced team. I felt confident every step of the way. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM !
Came for an emergency Efficient and kind!
This company installed a walk-in shower for elderly parents and did a horrible job. I have waisted so much time and money in correcting the horrible work they did. The entire job was a mess and we were left with a leaky shower faucet for months trying to figure out how to get it resolved. After numerous texting and sharing video of leaky faucet, he came back to change to faucet which never fixed the problem. Finally, called another company after increase in water bill from leaky faucet. New company changed the shower valve, spent another 875 to replace shower valve.
I called FRED’S Plumbing and Heating after my family had a bad experience with another plumber. He came right out on Monday and had the issue diagnosed in under 3 minutes. His crew was busy for the remainder of that day so they came out to the family home first thing Tuesday morning to vacuum and clean the boiler system. They were done in 1 1/4 hours, which cost less than the “parts changing plumber” who visited the family home on Friday, costing them $600 for parts, and left the family with birds, cats, dogs, ferrets and humans with still no heat. Thanks to FRED’S Plumbing, our family will be calling them for any plumbing repairs in the future! They are honest, and professional and I can’t say enough about them. Terry F
Came to my house and rough quoted me 3-4 hours of labor at 200 an hour plus another 2-300 in materials. So anywhere from 800 to 1100 for the job. I agreed, took him 3 weeks to come out and the final bill was 1500, they were here for 4 hours and 10 minutes I was charged for a full 5 hours. So another $200 from the original rough quote and the materials I was charged $500 so 300 more than I was rough quoted (not much material was used). Stay far away go with a bigger company who does not do mirror tricks on prices
