A 2023 Google reviewer described a new deck being finished and singled out a comprehensive, detailed estimate; a 2022 reviewer had Fitzroy install a roof deck a previous contractor had left unfinished, then called him back for kitchen updates. A 2018 deck repair came in sooner than the customer expected, with that reviewer noting he was always on time and easy to reach. The longest relationship on file belongs to a Google reviewer who wrote in October 2025 after 15 years of work together, from major remodeling down to minor maintenance — longer than the company's own 2017 start date would suggest.
Read the platform numbers carefully. Angi and HomeAdvisor both show 4.8 from ten reviews, but it is the same ten: the HomeAdvisor page mirrors the Angi one, so that is ten customers rather than twenty, and their written comments stop in 2021. Two practical things before you call. That HomeAdvisor profile states free estimates but no warranties and no emergency service, so settle in writing what happens if something has to come back. And while Angi and HomeAdvisor both list a Massachusetts trade licence, CS-113124 expiring January 2027, and the company's own site gives B3124/205375, a directory listing is the directory's claim rather than a state verification — ask for the numbers and check them with the state before you sign.
For a small-to-mid job out here — a deck, a leak, a room brought up to date — this is the one-owner shop that answers and shows up, and more than one customer hired him again. For a large remodel, ask to see recent work: the most detailed praise on file is now several years old.
