Fuelco Discount Oil is a Newington heating oil company, and a recent Google customer said they have used Fuelco Home Heating Oil for several years and thanked Lori on the phone. A recent Reddit commenter named FuelCo out of Newington as one of the two lowest-priced choices in their town. Its website lists a service area that includes Avon, Berlin, Hartford, Manchester, New Britain and Newington, and it holds 3.8 stars from 50 Google ratings. A 2025 customer with an unpaved driveway of 300-plus feet said Fuelco attempted delivery three times after a storm and a re-freeze, and filled the tank right before another bad storm hit. A 2026 customer who was on empty said several other companies were booked through the week, and Fuelco rescheduled its deliveries to move them up. A 2025 customer thanked the company for coming out last minute on Christmas Eve. A 2026 customer who missed a delivery time said Laurie in the front office worked to get them back into the schedule. A 2026 customer said two orders were cancelled, once after a missed verification call and once because the account was flagged, and that the woman on the phone would not say why. A 2025 customer who called in an emergency said the receptionist would not come same day and told them it was their fault. A 2025 first-time customer said less fuel was delivered than was ordered and paid for, and the company had to come back with the remainder. A 2025 customer said the driver left a mess and did not screw the cap on. A 2023 customer said the driver broke their Christmas decorations during a delivery and the company failed to respond. A 2022 customer said they were charged to prime the furnace, it was left full of air, and they had to bleed it themselves.
“the two lowest choices in my town have routinely been FuelCo out of Newington and Cashway out of Enfield”
I have used Fuelco Home Heating Oil for several years. I've had the pleasure of speaking with Lori on the telephone and she has always been an excellent representative of Fuelco. They also have had the best pricing time after time. Thank you Lori! A great Newington company!
Fair prices and willing to help in an emergency.
Such a great company. Unfortunately I missed my delivery time due to weather and getting out of an overnight shift, I spoke with Laurie in the front office who was extremely understanding and respectful with my situation. She did everything in her power to get me back into the schedule and also provided great advice on how to manage until then. We’ve used them for years and will continue to use them as long as I live in the area.
Their low prices are not worth their poor service. They have cancelled two of my orders. The first time was because I missed their phone call to verify my order (mind you, there was not a follow up call). The second time my order was cancelled because my account was flagged. I called to ask why, and the woman on the phone would not tell me why my account was flagged. She was not polite at all. But that’s alright because I don’t want them to have my business either!
Amazing people Fuelco came to my rescue, I was on empty and could not get a delivery from several other companies that I called all were booked thru the week, with no heat or hot water, they rescheduled their deliveries to move me up to get my oil delivery.
