I am writing to issue a consumer alert regarding a recent experience with a furnace installation company. I strongly advise against using this company due to dishonest practices, poor customer service, and inadequate communication. We contracted with this company to install a specific furnace model in our new home. However, without our consent or notification, they installed a completely different and lower-priced system. In addition to this deceptive practice, the installation was performed incorrectly. Despite clear instructions to the company's employees that the furnace should be placed with the other utilities at one end of the house, they installed it at the opposite end. When confronted, the owner claimed they were unaware of our plans to finish the basement. As a resolution, we requested a refund for the price difference between the furnace we ordered and the one they installed. The owner also provided a partial discount on the remaining balance to compensate for the additional expenses we now face. These expenses include either relocating the entire furnace to the correct location or constructing a wall to conceal the system, which will result in a portion of our basement being closed off. I hope this information helps other consumers avoid similar negative experiences. Sincerely, Lee

My daughter and I met with superb Gauthier technicians, Norman and Mark, in April. They might as well have been wearing superhero capes as they solved a serious problem regarding a leaking radiator in a recently purchased home built in 1941. We were fortunate that Gauthier had serviced this home with a previous owner and they were familiar with the system. What impressed us (in addition to expert experience and problem solving) was that we were educated how to adjust the radiators to assure that they work appropriately in the future and avoid additional problems. This is great customer service and builds a wonderful relationship and trust moving forward. We also felt that the cost was fair. Highly recommend Gauthier. Excellent service and a fair price. Came out on a Saturday morning to take care of a heating emergency. Highly recommended. I won't use anyone else.
