Read enough of Landry Mechanical's reviews and you stop reading about a company and start reading about people — Gavin, Tory, Randy, Dennis, JT, Rosie. Homeowners write down the technician's name. That is the texture behind 3,252 Google ratings averaging 4.8. The company works out of 22 Howe Ave in Millbury and covers heating and cooling, plumbing and radiant floor heating on its BBB listing, where it has been accredited since December 2014 and carries an A+. Its Massachusetts HVAC licence is active and held in the company's own name. The BBB page calls it family-owned; a 2023 Worcester Business Journal story about the firm buying the shuttered Ray's True Value building in Millbury for its headquarters named Raymond and Natasha Landry as its owners. Ductless mini-splits are where the detail piles up. A July 2026 customer described a cooling assessment done with a LiDAR scanner to size each room's unit; another, in May, had a crew install her mini-splits on time and then step in when her husband had a medical emergency mid-job. Summer runs through the rest — two installers working 7:30 to 6 in 100-degree weather, an AC replacement fitted into the week a homeowner's mother came home on hospice, an aging system diagnosed and cooling again the same day. Plumbing runs on the same clock: a broken leaky valve fixed the day it was called in, a water heater replaced quickly after the options were walked through. The history behind that is deep — 368 reviews since 2022 across nine sites, 4.8 on Best Pick Reports over 2,144 ratings, 4.6 on Angi and HomeAdvisor over 97 each. Price is the friction, and it is specific. In July 2026 one household was quoted $67,000 for a heating system after getting $20,000 to $30,000 elsewhere; another compared Landry's $27,000-to-$31,000 boiler bids against a far lower quote from a long-established company. A June customer called the charge for a small pipe-fitting repair unreasonable. Get the quote in writing, and compare it. Scheduling is the other thing to pin down. A July reviewer lost a whole Friday waiting before being told the crew wouldn't come because there might be mold, then had another plumber out within the hour. A household with an 86-year-old father waited through an 8-to-5 window on the hottest day for a dispatch that never arrived. A May customer was rescheduled after being told the job wasn't an emergency, and another says a technician showed up late for an A/C recharge and then declined to do it. One homeowner getting a Mass Save ducted heat-pump quote also came away uneasy about the sales visit itself. For mini-splits, heat pumps, water heaters and the call-now AC failure, this is a solid choice with a deep and current history behind it. Confirm the number in writing before the truck rolls, and ask exactly what the appointment window guarantees.
“A Sutton mechanical company will move its headquarters to Millbury, after the firm’s owners bought the former location of Ray’s True Value Hardware in Millbury for $1.35 million. ... The buyer was R & N Realty Holdings, registered to the owners of Sutton’s Landry Mechanical, Inc., Raymond and Natasha Landry. ... Landry Mechanical will use the space as its headquarters. The former True Value building will be used for warehouse and office space, and the neighboring building will be a training center. ... Landry Mechanical was founded in 2008 and works with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.”
This is the second time I’ve used Landry Mechanical, and both times I have been impressed with the service and with personnel. On this occasion we had a plumbing issue, Randy and Alex arrived two hours after I called, and both were excellent! They found the problem, fixed it right away, and gave me options and cost estimates so I could select what was best for me. I would give Randy and Alex more than five stars if I could!! I would use them again without a doubt.
Landry Mechanical Associates did an excellent job during my annual maintenance checkup. Jose Viveiros and Anthony were knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. They clearly explained everything they were doing, provided a detailed list of recommended repairs with priorities, and followed up with a thorough summary email that gives me a clear plan moving forward. Thank you!
I had a tremendous experience with my mini splits installation. JT, Marcus, Donny and Dimitri were great. They arrived on time, were friendly, made sure to clean up after themselves and worked very efficiently. JT and Marcus were even kind enough to remove the 3 window AC units for me and bring them down to the basement after the installation of the mini splits was complete. I’ve used Landry for a long time for many different services, and there’s a reason I keep coming back! They always do excellent work.
I think the 5,stars say it all.
