We purchased an old rental property desperately in need of updating. We planned to rent two units and occupy one. A week before Christmas, we were introduced to Clayton after our initial contractor had not make any headway in 4 months. I knew Clayton was leaving on vacation. We did an initial phone meeting and some back and forth on what the job entailed. I called his references, and they did not disappoint me with their glowing recommendations. I made it clear that we were not typical landlords and had high standards. His crew got started the week before Christmas while he was away! His work ethic was obvious from the start. It was a huge, multi-faceted job with many disturbing surprises that needed to be addressed. Clayton and his crew caught things I would have missed, which I suspect other contractors might not have mentioned. The crew was there daily and did not let up until the job was complete. Golden Key Construction is a full-service construction company that you can trust to complete any job, large or small, to a high standard. I cannot imagine working with anyone else on the job and keeping my sanity. Clayton was more than patient and beyond fair in his pricing. Everyone who enters the building comments favorably on the apartments and asks about the rental price. In the end, we had offers higher than asking for the rental units. We are completely happy in our own unit and realize what a good investment it was to hire Golden Key Construction.

I hired Clay and his team to do framing for a complex garage addition/renovation project. His team has been the best of the contractors I have hired over multiple projects. I have not had a single bad experience with him or his team over this long project. They listened to our design/requirements/changes and were flexible to adopt them without hesitation. They did a fantastic job in framing and making it weather tight. Overall, we had the best experience with Clay and his team and would hire him for future projects.
