A 2018 customer hired Nionakis Construction to renovate their home and wrote that Mike and his crew were responsive, knowledgeable and fair, from the first interaction through the duration of the project. That is the kind of work this Somerville general contractor gets called for. It moves quickly at the front end. A 2017 customer wrote that Mike rang right after they posted the job on BuildZoom, came out to discuss it the next day, and had draft plans and a quote within a few days — a price they called reasonable for the amount of work involved. The written accounts run from 2017 to 2019, four of them on BuildZoom, where the company carries 5.0 stars from six ratings. Its profile there lists 27 projects. The Better Business Bureau grades the company A+ and lists it as a sole proprietorship run by Susan Nionakis, in business since 2006. For a full-house renovation you want one contractor to carry from plans through to the finish, this is the sort of shop to call. Ask for references and addresses from recent projects, check the registration on the state's register, and get the scope, the schedule and the payment milestones down in writing before anyone starts.

Great experience to this point

Mike and his crew did an outstanding job renovating our home. From our first interaction on Buildzoom Mike was responsive, knowledgeable and fair, which continued throughout the duration of the project. Our expectations of the work were far surpassed as Mike went out of his way to fix several other things we asked for during the renovation. I am confident that anyone who uses Nionakis Construction in the future will be satisfied with their work.
We had a great experience with Nionakis Construction. Mike called right after we posted on Buildzoom.com and came to discuss the project the day after. After a few days he provided draft plans and a quote. The quote was reasonable for the amount of work to be done. The work were done properly and professionally. It took a little longer than what we discussed, but the extra time needed was reasonable. Mike was always pretty available to discuss the progress and address our questions and concerns. He was able to accommodate some minor "last minute" modifications. We are very satisfied with the job and the services provided by Nionakis construction. They even helped us move back the furniture when the job was finished! We would hire them again for potential new projects and definitely recommend them.
