Reviewers of Harrington Moving and Storage almost never write about the company — they write about the crew, by name. Freddy, Carlos, Pat, Robert, Tyler: the recent Google reviews read like thank-you notes to individual movers, which is a decent proxy for how the day on the truck actually goes. The company operates out of Dundee Park in downtown Andover and says it has been at it since 1993, running local and interstate moves for both households and offices, with long-term and mobile-pod storage attached. Across 72 Google ratings the average sits at 4.6, and the last six months have been clean — five reviews, none negative. What customers describe is mostly the awkward move rather than the easy one. A haul out of a storage pod into a unit a long way off, one floor down and no elevator. A full pack-out, move and unload compressed into a single twelve-hour day. Furniture wrapped and padded for a parent's move into assisted living. The consistent thread is protection of the goods — blankets, padding, disassembly and reassembly — and crews that keep working rather than clock-watching. The complaints, and there are a handful across the years, cluster on the invoice rather than the boxes. Customers have described a final bill landing well above the quoted figure with no warning along the way, and one reported damage to a door that the company declined to reimburse. Another balked at the price quoted for a short in-town move of a dozen boxes and a couple of furniture pieces. None of that appears in the recent run, but it all points at the same fix: get the estimate in writing, get it clear whether it is binding or hourly, and ask up front what happens if the crew finds stairs, a long carry, or an extra hour. On credentials, the company publishes an MA DTE number and a US DOT number on its own site and says it belongs to the Massachusetts Movers Association and the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce. Those are the company's own listings rather than anything confirmed against a registry here, and a mover's DOT and DTE numbers are both worth checking yourself before you book. Best suited to the move you are slightly dreading — the tight timeline, the difficult building, the elderly parent downsizing — where a practiced crew and real packing materials matter more than the lowest hourly rate. Nail down the written estimate and the damage-claim process before deposit day, and the rest of the record suggests the day itself goes smoothly.

Did an in-town Andover, MA move with Harrington and everything was very smooth and easy. They did a trip to my new home and packed furniture for storage. Pricing was transparent and they were easy to work with. Big thanks to Freddy, Carlos and Robert for their help!

We had a great experience with Harrington Movers moving my Dad's furniture to his new home at assisted living. Pat and Freddy were great to work with. They wrapped everything up nice and safe and made the move such a smooth experience. I highly recommend hiring them for your moving needs - they are absolute pros!

The crew at Harrington were terrific. They worked a long 12 hour + day to get us packed, moved and unloaded in 1 day. They are very careful and wrap and pad everything. They are very organized, hard working, and barely took time for lunch or dinner - some didn't! And, they are all. very polite and just nice people. If we every move again, there's no question we're working with Harrigton again. Pat, Tyler, Freddy, Carlos, Robert, Victor, Chris and Pat - Thank You!

Very difficult move from a pod to a storage space along ways away and one floor down with no elevator. Did an excellent job of getting everything moved and in the space as quickly as they could given the situation. Would definitely recommend them

The Harrington Team; especially Pat, Matteo, Tyler and Christain were absolutely OUTSTANDING! They went far above moving us, they "owned" the job of clearing out our home in a short timeline. Their moving skills, packing care, disassembly and assembly skills and overall attention to detail was unmatched. Again, absolutely OUTSTANDING!
