On Google the company sits at 3 stars from two ratings. In a review posted in July 2024, a homeowner described the ground floor of their deck house redesigned the previous fall and winter with new walls, electrical and flooring, and a new roof put on; that same reviewer mentioned extra costs and deposits tied to the design process. The money question is worth settling first. A customer writing in May 2024 said Henehan charges $2,500 for a construction estimate, and that the paperwork calls the payment a deposit even though it is not applied to the cost of construction. On the licensing side, the Massachusetts registry shows home improvement contractor registration #172582 as expired; BuildZoom lists a second registration, #208049, and a construction supervisor licence, CS-061755, which Houzz lists as well. For a homeowner who wants design and construction from one firm and is prepared to pay for the design phase, Henehan is a reasonable call. Get in writing what the $2,500 covers and whether any of it comes off the construction price, and ask for the registration number the company is working under so you can check it against the state register.
