HVAC Restorations LLC is a heating and cooling company, and its Connecticut HVAC licence, number HTG.0412394-S1, is active on the state registry. A recent customer said Dylan, Blake and Tom installed a four-zone mini split system over a two-day job, and that Ryan, the manager, came by to make sure everything was up to standard. A customer who called after a previous HVAC company tried to sell an entirely new system instead of replacing a damaged coil said Gary sourced the necessary parts and installed them, at pricing that customer called reasonable. Gary troubleshot one customer's boiler problem and corrected it on the spot. On a boiler service, a customer said he went through every nook and cranny of the boiler, changed the oil spraying nozzle and vacuumed the inside of the furnace. A 2026 customer who woke up to no heat or hot water said Gary diagnosed and repaired the oil burner in less than an hour, replacing a sensor with quite a bit of wiring involved. A 2025 customer said Gary found a field control power venter motor that was not working, with six wasp nests inside, got the unit running temporarily and came back on Friday to replace the motor. A 2025 customer said he showed up the same day, drove to New Haven to get a part and fixed the AC that night at 7 pm. A 2025 customer whose AC went out during a heat advisory said Gary came mid-day, cleaned the AC, removed a rodent nest, repaired the wires and replaced the capacitor. A 2025 customer said Gary restored an old heater, installed AC that reused the existing system and helped with available rebates. On an oil tank installation, a recent one-star customer said the quoted price kept rising with charges that were not clearly explained, communication was poor, and the tank was installed without first obtaining the required permit.
Dylan, Blake, & Tom did a great job installing our 4 zone mini split system. They were meticulous and informative during the 2 day job. Ryan (the manager) still managed to come by to ensure everything was up to standard despite having to deal with a personal family matter. We appreciate everyone’s effort and contribution. Thank you so much!
Gary did a fantastic job. I called him after my previous hvac company tried to up sell me an entirely new system instead of replacing the damaged coil. He is honest, trustworthy, and very knowledgeable. His pricing is very resonable for the service he provides. He went above and beyond sourcing the necessary parts and installing them. Best hvac services in the area. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.
Gary solved my boiler issues. Was fast, professional and didn't beat around the bush. He troubleshot the problem and corrected it on the spot.
Super down to Earth and very knowledgeable guy. He could literally teach people this stuff. He came in and explained everything that was been done. Did not skipped any procedure. And went through every nook and cranny of our boiler. Used super sofisticaded CSI style equipment to make sure our pipe was actually not passing through dirty smoke. And changed the oil spraying nozzle of the system to make sure it was burning efficiently. He even vacuumed and cleaned up all the inside of the furnace and the outside. Leaving the area smelling good. Great job. I do recommend him.
I strongly discourage anyone from hiring this individual. What started as a straightforward oil tank installation quickly became a frustrating and costly experience. Throughout the project, the quoted price continued to increase with additional charges that were not clearly explained or agreed upon. Communication was consistently poor, I often had to follow up for updates, and questions went unanswered for extended periods. Also installed the oil tank without first obtaining the required permit, which raised serious concerns about whether the work was performed in compliance with local requirements. Rather than taking responsibility when concerns were raised, there always seemed to be another excuse or reason for delays and problems. The entire experience felt unprofessional, disorganized, and overpriced for the level of service provided. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this contractor. If you are considering hiring him, I would encourage you to verify their licensing status, confirm that all required permits will be obtained before work begins, and get every detail in writing. There are many reputable HVAC and plumbing contractors who provide honest pricing, clear communication, and quality workmanship. My experience was disappointing from start to finish, and I would avoid using this contractor. Paid for the job in full and when removing the old oil pipes you can see the workmanship from the pictures provided.
