Inbox Portable Storage rents portable storage boxes: one is dropped at the house, loaded, then stored or delivered to a new address. Its Google listing shows 4.7 stars from 168 ratings, and the company says it has been in business 15 years. A 2024 customer said it was the only company they could find with 20-foot pods at a reasonable price, and that their things were kept climate controlled for 9 months. A 2024 reviewer said the delivery driver was friendly and the box was bigger for the price than from competitors. A 2022 customer said Angel called in advance, got there at the exact time he said and placed the box in a tight spot. A 2023 customer said an 8x16 box was delivered on time and placed exactly where they wanted it. A 2024 customer said a box came back after more than a year in storage with a mice infestation, and that it did not fit the driveway despite the measurements they had provided. A 2024 reviewer said blocks placed under the corners of the largest box left 4 depressions in the driveway. A 2025 customer said the pickup was missed and that a charge to insure the pod's contents arrived a week after drop-off; the customer later wrote that the charge was disclosed on page 12 of the contract. A 2023 customer said pickup lead times ran up to one week in some cases.
Best service around!
The moving experience itself gets 3 stars. The drop-off went fine. The move missed the pickup window, but got picked up on the correct date. The pick-up was terrible - they forgot to come pick it up, never picked up the phone or responded to voicemails. The customer experience brought it down to 1 star. I was surprised with a charge 1 week after dropping off the pod. After calling in, I was told that it was to "ensure the contents of the pod". These are my personal belongings, I should have the option whether to insure or not. In any case, I mentioned that the charge should at least be communicated in advance, and I was told that it was my fault I didn't read the small text in the contract. Edit: their response reiterates my feedback here. The charge was disclosed on page 12 of the contract. My fault for not reading it with a fine toothed comb.
these guys are great! I've used them a few times over the last 2 years. Most recently Palmer B and his crew went above and beyond. Highly recommend them.
Dropped off and picked up on time. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable and friendly.
This was the perfect solution for our temporary storage needs during our recent move. The team was professional, timely, helpful and responsive.
