J and J Windows and Doors LLC is a small residential window and door replacement outfit whose own site gives a Thorndike, Massachusetts location and the phone number 413-675-5545, while the marketing copy on the same site speaks to homeowners in Warwick, Rhode Island and the surrounding area (E556151, E556152). The crew is small enough that homeowners name the people who show up: Jeremy appears again and again across the reviews, with Jeff named on one window job (E556717, E556718, E556723, E556726). What customers hire them for is straightforward replacement work. Reviewers describe sliding and storm doors swapped out, a front door replaced and painted to a chosen color with leftover paint handed over for touch-ups, and five windows changed in a living and dining room (E556714, E556720, E556717, E556731). Two recurring themes run through the praise: speed and price. One homeowner writes that the price came down by $1,000 when they said the quote was out of range; several others call the pricing reasonable or better than the competing quotes they had (E556716, E556726, E556727, E556729, E556730). One reviewer says the crew flagged underlying problems during a window install rather than covering them over (E556730). The work reaches past the trading name. The same customers describe a painting job, a basement and garage cleanout of twenty years of junk, and a bathroom renovation for a reviewer's mother, all handled by the same company (E556721, E556722, E556725). That is worth knowing if you are shopping for a single-trade specialist. The thing to ask about is follow-through when a job is scheduled but not yet started. In July 2026 a reviewer wrote that the company twice promised to replace a broken door for their elderly mother, then did not return calls and did not show on the agreed day (E556715). That complaint sits directly against what the five-star reviews praise most — communication and showing up on time — and it is recent, which is why it carries weight here rather than being an old outlier (E556714, E556718, E556723). Google's own page shows 4.8 stars from 18 ratings (E556131). They are a reasonable call for a homeowner who wants doors or windows replaced quickly and at a negotiable price, and who is comfortable with a one-crew operation. Before booking, get the start date and the point of contact in writing, and confirm they actually cover your town — the site names Thorndike, Massachusetts but sells to Rhode Island (E556151, E556152).
Great communication, nice quality slider door replacement, and cleaned up after themselves. Would definitely use again in the future! Overall very easy company to work with.
Very disappointed in the customer service from this company. He blew off my brother twice when he promised to replace a broken door for my elderly mother. He didn’t return phone calls and no showed when he was supposed to be on the site to do the door replacement. Not the type of guy that I would want to work with. Update 7/15- Based on owner reply. While I understand that you are booked and have personal demands, a simple communication goes a long way. You communicated to my brother that there would be two people coming by on 7/9. My brother called the night before to confirm and left a voicemail. There was no return call on status. The two people didn't show up on 7/9 when my brother drove over to meet up. Again, you could have communicated to him instead of wasting his time. We wasted 2 weeks waiting for you to do the work and now we are looking elsewhere. Not great when we are in a time crunch to ensure my elderly mother is safe and protected.
They they did excellent work they even lowered the price by $1000 dollars cause I said it was out of my price range they were super respectful did excellent work and they’re very quick
Was a great job done by Jeff and co workers. Replaced 3 Windows in the living room and 2 in the dining room, I was very pleased and so was my husband Mel. Thanks Michele
Jeremy is the man! He was very professional, courteous, and communicated well! There was some hiccups because of inclement weather but he always kept me informed! | appreciate that so much. He was knowledgeable about why we had draft issues and repaired a window that was broken. I highly suggest him for anyone's work. His number will stay saved for any future jobs! Thank you Jeremy! God bless!
