JD Building and Remodeling, LLC

We hired Justin and his crew for a project at our house, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. It’s clear he takes real pride in the work; quality materials, no shortcuts, and solid advice along the way whenever we had questions. They were reliable too, showing up when they said they would, sticking to the timeline, and leaving the space clean every single day. Pricing was straightforward with no surprises. We’d absolutely bring them back for future work.

I do a lot of construction in Connecticut, so I am very familiar with the contractors in the state. Justin is definitely one of the best out there. Few specifics: 1. Quality: Always superb. Always better than what I was expecting 2. Trust: his estimates are reasonable with no padding or sandbagging. 3. Time: his team works very fast. No drama crew. I cannot be happier

We have engaged Justin and his crew for a few projects at our home including a new roof and the difficult repair of 16 deteriorating 10-12’ high cedar posts. During COVID these posts were difficult to secure, but Justin was resourceful and utilized the materials he could locate while maintaining the architectural integrity as they are a prominent feature of the home. He is always responsive and executes as promised. I have and do highly recommend his services.

Justin and his team did an AMAZING job building a new deck for our home. From the beginning to the end of the project, Justin was easy to communicate with, quick to respond, kept us informed on the project every step of the way, and just overall a true professional. He is also supported with a dedicated team of workers. They were timely, worked long days (during some of the craziest heat waves of the summer), super professional, and also kept their work area clean at the end of every day. Justin and his team are all masters in their craft. They provide high quality work and pay great attention to detail.

Highly skilled craftsmen, excellent quality, extremely reliable and timely! I’m blessed! I was fortunate my architect suggested I try calling JD Building and Remodeling after several failed meetings with numerous contractors. Justin understood my vision right away and was patient with me as I learned the building and remodeling process. We worked well together; he was open to my ideas and was honest when they weren’t very good, but he also went above and beyond to make the good ideas happen. I truly appreciated his flexibility and creative approach in finding the best solutions to the many hurdles we encountered during the remodeling of a home that was difficult to modify. Justin and his team completed and extensive renovation and addition project with beautiful details that even I didn’t think of, or realize would be done in just 27 weeks; all while navigating winter weather, material shortages, long-lead times, and numerous examples of major price increases that we didn’t account for in the initial planning process. It wasn’t easy, but Justin and his team transformed our modest 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom ranch into a gorgeous 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home with a new great room addition, new two-story oversized garage; new laundry/mud room, updated kitchen and hall bath, new bath, expanded and remodeled master bath; new windows, new siding, and managed and oversaw the installation of a new roof and gutters, all new plumbing and fixtures, new HVAC system, and pretty much all new electrical and fixtures. During the challenges of the COVID pandemic, no one can deny this is an amazing achievement. I attribute this to Justin’s work ethic, skills, and commitment to the highest quality - they never missed a day no matter what the circumstances. I would highly recommend JD Building and Remodeling for any size project. Justin cares about the end product and is committed to working with his clients.
