JOMI Corp. is a family-owned Weymouth excavation and snow-management contractor run by Mike, with the company itself dating to 2004 and Mike bringing what the business describes as 45 years of industry experience. Its stated service area runs across the South Shore — Weymouth, Braintree, Quincy, Milton, Rockland, and more than a dozen surrounding towns. The most recent reviews cut in two directions. A review from June 2026 (3 stars) describes a project that involved both JOMI and a subcontractor, Boston Iron Works, where costs reportedly doubled from repeated site visits, a disputed $3,000 charge for a hand-dug footing callback, disagreement over whether that footing was covered in the original contract, and drawings that placed the footing on the wrong side of the building. It's a detailed, specific complaint about billing and execution on what sounds like a more complex job. Just two weeks earlier, a different reviewer called the crew's work "brilliant" and "fast," though without describing the job itself. Older reviews from 2023 paint a more consistently positive picture: one customer called JOMI their "go to contractor" after using them for "many projects over the years," and another described work at both a home and an office, with Mike's team going the extra mile to stay on time and on budget, adding they'd come back for any future excavation, foundation, or snow-removal needs. The Better Business Bureau lists the company (as Jomi Construction Inc. at the same Weymouth address) with an A+ letter grade and 21 years in business. Anyone hiring for a job with subcontracted trades or unusual site conditions should get the scope, including any potential return trips, spelled out clearly in writing up front — that's exactly where the one detailed complaint on file went wrong.
Very brilliant service, collaborative team, excellent service ,fast work, highly recommended.
Project became having to deal with JOMI and Boston Iron Works. Overall cost soared two times as much because of leaving and returning to the site. There was $3000 to come back from the site for the footing but no equipment was involved since it was a hand dug. There was also a “dispute” as to footing was even included in the contract but the diagrams were provided in drawing and engineering fees were charged. In the end the location of drawings from the end were never accurate (footing was never put on the correct side of the building.
We have had Jomi Corp. fulfill many projects over the years. They are our go to contractor. I highly recommend Them!!
