JOMI Corp is a Weymouth outfit built around dirt work and getting driveways through winter — excavation, foundations, septic systems, and snow plowing across the South Shore, Cape Cod, MetroWest, and Greater Boston. The company says it's family run by Mike and his in-house crew, serving the area since 2004. Google shows a 4.1-star average from seven ratings, and the Better Business Bureau lists an A+ grade, though JOMI hasn't sought BBB accreditation and has been in business, per that same profile, since 2005. The picture online is thin rather than deep — only a handful of written reviews exist. The two most recent Google reviews, both from June 2026, pull in opposite directions. One calls the crew fast and collaborative. The other lays out a specific dispute on a job involving JOMI and Boston Iron Works: the customer says costs roughly doubled from repeat site visits, a $3,000 charge came up for returning to hand-dig a footing, there was disagreement over whether footing work was even in the contract, and the finished footing ended up on the wrong side of the building. That kind of detail is worth asking about directly before signing anything — get the scope of foundation and footing work spelled out in writing, and clarify up front how return trips and change orders get billed. JOMI reads as a reasonable call for excavation and snow removal in its home turf south of Boston, backed by two decades of operating history. But the review record is too sparse to lean on for a project with the complexity the June complaint describes — ask for references from a similarly sized job before committing to anything beyond routine site work or plowing.

Project became having to deal with JOMI and Boston Iron Works. Overall cost soared two times as much because of leaving and returning to the site. There was $3000 to come back from the site for the footing but no equipment was involved since it was a hand dug. There was also a “dispute” as to footing was even included in the contract but the diagrams were provided in drawing and engineering fees were charged. In the end the location of drawings from the end were never accurate (footing was never put on the correct side of the building.

Jomi Corp. has done work at my home and my office and every time Mike and his team have gone the extra mile to ensure my satisfaction. They are on time, on budget and they do excellent work. Should I have any excavation, foundation, snow removal needs in the future I will absolutely be hiring Jomi Corp.
