One thing worth flagging: BuildZoom's page also lists two other numbers, CS-097404 and 97404, under the same business — only 161532 is confirmed active by the state registry, so it's worth asking which license actually covers your project. Kenwood reads as a fit for a homeowner planning a substantial custom build, addition, or historic-home renovation who wants an owner-run outfit rather than a large production builder — just go in aware the online history is short, and let direct references from a comparable project fill in the rest.

We worked with Kenwood to do a gut renovation of our home, which is located in a historic district. We had a great experience. The project was technically and aesthetically challenging due to the age of the home and the requirements of the historic commission. Boris and Jerry were great problem solvers, helping us work through all those challenges. The Kenwood team clearly takes pride in their work as they put a lot of care in every aspect of the project. They were also highly responsive to our needs. We would happily work with them again!

I really enjoy my house built by kenwood builders a couple of years ago at Winchester. They took good care of me and my family. Boris especially was so nice and to this day he calls and checks up on how we are doing and how the house is faring. If you want top quality you have got to work with these guys

After looking for two years at all the available inventory in Brookline and Newton for two years, Boris and Gerry built our custom house and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. We expect to keep this house forever. They are very responsive, and if something is outside their expertise they will be honest and forthright about it. Highly recommend them.

I worked with Boris on two renovation projects so far and I highly recommend him and the whole team of Kenwood builders. They are responsive, detail oriented and deliver high quality finishes.
