Sula Valley is a family-owned construction firm at 60 Amory Street in Boston, taking on residential and commercial general contracting, ground-up construction and remodeling across Greater Boston, and also offering real estate services. The company says it has been providing construction services since 1990 and was incorporated in 2009; the Better Business Bureau records seventeen years in business. Santiago Pineda is named as the principal doing the work. The credentials are documented rather than merely claimed. BuildZoom lists an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor licence and scores the firm 101, in the top 12% of licensed contractors in the state. The BBB has accredited the business since February 2020 and grades it A+, listing bath and kitchen remodeling, carpentry, deck construction, roofing and permitting procurement among its services — permitting is something the company itself highlights as a specialty for urban projects. Customer feedback is uniformly positive but thin: Google shows a 5-star average across twelve ratings, and the handful of written reviews on file run from 2023 to 2025. A Boston homeowner shopping for porch renovation quotes mentioned having spoken with the company, which tells you it is on local radar for exterior work but says nothing about the outcome. The practical caveat is volume of public evidence rather than any complaint: BuildZoom shows only a single permit on record, for a basement and kitchen remodel in Brookline, and has received no reviews at all. Ask for references from projects comparable to yours, ask how permitting time is handled and billed given the firm markets that as a strength, and confirm the licence number directly with the state — the website says licensed and fully insured without publishing a number.

The team was efficient, clean and organized. They were quick and thorough. They cleaned up every day and gave progress reports along the way as to how things were going. They did not do any work without my approval. I highly recommend them.

I searched for 3 years for a good contractor to do a gut renovation for my kitchen and bathroom. Santiago was worth the wait. He is a contractor with integrity. His contract was clear. He delivered on time, on budget, and executed my project to perfection. He treated me and my home with respect. This project turned out beautifully beyond my expectations. He will be my go to contractor for all future projects and I highly recommend Santiago and Sula Valley to everyone who wants their job done right without and hassles.

Sula Valley did a number of jobs for us and we are so pleased with their work. Santiago is super responsive to questions and requests. He provided clear communication about the work and the pricing all along the way. Everything was done on time and as agreed (including helping us to meet a tight time frame). The crew was easy to share space with during the parts of the work they did after our move-in. They made our old plaster walls and old pine floors look great. They rebuilt a rotting roof deck - we now have a sturdy railing that is properly anchored and looks great, with a re-angled roofing surface below that is no longer pooling water. Highly recommend.
