Knight Electrical Contracting Corp is the electrician homeowners call for the emergency: a tree through the power line, a fire-alarm fault on a holiday, a pool that's shocking swimmers. Across 142 Google, Angi, HomeAdvisor and Yelp reviews going back to 2021 -- a 4.9-star average from 198 Google ratings alone -- the same names keep showing up: Jesse, Evan, Harlan, John, Ryan -- and the story is almost always a same-day or next-day response. The company's Massachusetts electrician license (#8077) is active and verified against the state registry. That backs up what the reviews describe: real diagnostic work, not just switch-swapping. A June 2026 review walks through a full kitchen-remodel rewire brought up to code with a full cleanup after; a 2025 review describes a same-day tree-damage repair; another from 2024 has owner Harlan personally driving out on a holiday to temporarily fix a fire-alarm fault, and separately solving a wiring problem an HVAC company couldn't. Reviewers frequently mention the crew wearing shoe covers and working cleanly -- a March 2026 review calls it out specifically as unusual among contractors. It isn't spotless. A June 2026 review is the clearest miss: a simple receptacle job got pushed back repeatedly, with no firm new date given, stretching past a month with the customer still waiting -- a real scheduling failure, not a one-off typo. A separate 2025 review of a panel upgrade otherwise called great noted the crew left some dust and debris behind, more than the homeowner expected. Before calling: this is a company built for volume and speed, with dozens of five-star, short they-showed-up-and-were-professional reviews alongside the more detailed accounts -- worth asking directly about scheduling commitments on a non-emergency job, since that's where the one real complaint on file happened.
Jesse and Akira were prompt and professional as they went about the task at hand ( labeling panel box , troubleshooting intermittent issue re electrical outage ) always explaining the whys and hows of their process.
We contracted with Knight to install a power receptacle on the side of a building. They agreed to come out on a particular date. On the morning of that date they emailed me and said their electrician was unavailable and they would have to reschedule. They emailed me the next day and said they did not know when this electrician would be available and no one was available to do the work until OVER A MONTH LATER. Meanwhile, I presume they continue to accept new business. I strongly recommend you use a different electrical contracting company if you need a reliable contractor and you value your time.
Jesse and Jamie were awesome! Solved every issue in my old kitchen remodel..they went above and beyond to make sure everything was done to code, ensuring my kichen electrical was safe.. They cleaned up everything after they finished and left me with all new electrical outlets and lighting done perfectly.. Jesse and the whole Knight team have been wonderful to work with. I'm already organizing a new Chandelier with them for my foyer, Highly recommend:)
They arrived on time and completed the work quickly, efficiently, cleanly and in a very professional manner. I'm am very happy with the results.
Would recommend to anyone. Reasonable and efficient
