KYG Gutter Cleaning & Repairs- Gutter Services and Exterior Painting

KYG Gutter Cleaning & Repairs — doing business as KYG Gutter Services & Painting — is a Lynn, Massachusetts, family-run shop; the company's own site names Oscar as the owner and Carlos as job-site foreman. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, and it carries a Better Business Bureau A+ grade, accredited since February 2024. How long the company has actually been around is unclear: its website claims 20 years in business, but BBB's own profile lists it as 7 years old, dating its start to October 2018 and its LLC incorporation to 2023. Across 22 reviews from 2021 to today, the same two names keep coming up — Oscar and Carlos — for showing up fast (one reviewer needed flashing replaced before a home inspection and got same-day service), talking customers through the work, and pricing fairly without necessarily being the cheapest quote. In a 2022 review, a rerouted downspout developed a small leak after a heavy rain, and again after a windstorm knocked a section loose months later — both times the crew came back promptly and fixed it at no extra charge, even when the second issue was storm damage rather than their error. Gutter work is the core of what people hire them for — cleaning, repair, installation, leaf guards — with exterior painting as a smaller, separately mentioned line of work. One 2022 review is really a complaint about unwanted contact rather than the work itself — a person who says they never scheduled a job asked to be taken off the company's contact list. For a routine gutter job, the pattern here — fast response, follow-through on problems, fair pricing — is consistent across several years of reviews; just don't take the "20 years" claim at face value without asking.
