Lausier Brothers is a Salem plumbing shop whose reviews keep returning to the same beat: someone calls in a jam, and Mark or Matt shows up fast. One homeowner got a knock at 2am on the coldest night of the year to keep a boiler running through a freeze; another, whose landlord was away, had a failed hot water heater swapped out the same evening after a 5pm call. The company says three generations of the family have worked the trade — starting with the founders' grandfather, who served as Marblehead's Plumbing Inspector, handed down through their father Mark Sr. to today's co-owners: Matt Lausier, a Navy veteran and active Boston firefighter, and Mark Lausier, who holds the license and runs the technical side. Its Massachusetts plumbing license is registry-verified active. The reviews back that up with specifics rather than adjectives. One customer spotted the company's truck in a Harbor Freight parking lot and called about a gas range installation; the crew fixed out-of-code fittings and added safety shutoffs that had been missing. Others describe a PRV valve installed the same day it was called in, a tankless water heater swapped for an affordable price, and a clogged kitchen sink that took Mark several tries and a few hours before it finally drained. Exterior plumbing work and a second water meter got one homeowner through what felt like an overwhelming permitting process. All 24 reviews on file, running from 2024 into this year, are five stars, and pricing comes up again and again as fair rather than cheap or expensive. Better Business Bureau rates the company A+ and lists it as accredited, though its BBB record itself is only two years old — a newer formal entity than the multi-generation trade history behind it. A Reddit thread in r/SalemMA also names them as a Peabody-area plumbing recommendation. Its self-reported coverage area is broad — Salem, Beverly, Peabody, Lynn, Marblehead, Danvers, Swampscott, Gloucester, Newburyport, Haverhill, Lawrence, Andover, North Andover, Amesbury, and Ipswich — worth confirming for anyone near the edges of that footprint. For an emergency call, a water heater, or an aging heating system, the reviews point to a family shop that answers fast and finishes what it starts.
“Lausier Bros in Peabody”
A local company that installed our boiler eleven years ago told me that the system needed at least $7,100 in repairs. We found this quote shocking. A friend recommended the Lausier brothers to give us a second opinion, and I’m so glad she did. These guys are great – very responsive, easy to schedule the work, easy to pay them. Our boiler is fine and just needed some fine tuning, for a total cost of around $1,000. A far cry from the $7,100 we were looking at. Needless to say, we have a new plumber and I’m telling everyone about these guys.
I had an outstanding experience with Lausier Brothers. I called them and got an immediate response from Matt and he came by quickly, gave me a quick quote and mitigated my issue by installing a PRV Valve today. He explained everything to me relating to it and I was very pleased with the result. I recommend them highly
