Kitchen design and custom cabinetry bring customers to Lewis & Weldon, but some older customers described serious problems with timelines, billing and inspections. The Hyannis firm says it has served Cape Cod, the South Shore and New England since 2002, combining kitchen, bath and cabinetry design with construction. In August 2024, one Google reviewer described a kitchen remodel and new island, praising the team's design and attention to detail. Another said Chuck and his team opened a wall and installed a beam to expand a kitchen in an antique home, delivering the English kitchen style the customer wanted. A third August 2024 reviewer said the company had designed and completed three kitchens for them, with custom-fit cabinetry and coordination among subcontractors handling appliances, sinks and countertops. An April 2023 Google reviewer described a full kitchen renovation involving wall removal and new floors. They said pricing stayed within budget and Lewis & Weldon worked closely with their builders. A February 2023 reviewer praised the new cabinets and the help of Don and Erin. Earlier, a January 2018 Houzz customer described two kitchen installations, one in their home and another in a rental condo; they said the condo kitchen was installed in a timely manner with appliances included. A November 2017 Koby Kepert post credited Lewis & Weldon with a kitchen remodel intended to suit its Cape Cod setting and the house's 1892 origins. Other dated accounts were sharply critical. A December 2020 Houzz reviewer liked the finished kitchen and the work of both the company and its subcontractors, but said the project took more than eight months and went well over budget. They described a month-and-a-half gap between demolition and construction and an unexpected final balance bill, attributing most delays to understaffing rather than the pandemic. An August 2017 Houzz reviewer alleged that the company failed to follow architectural plans, missed inspections and failed an inspection. They said they fired the firm after 14 months with the job 60 percent complete, despite a promised 14–16 weeks, and reported winning a lawsuit. An August 2012 BuildZoom reviewer warned that the company would try to get a check and then disappear, and alleged vendor refusals and lawsuits. BuildZoom lists construction supervisor licence number CS-097094; that directory listing is not state-registry verification. Google listed 4.4 stars from 21 ratings in August 2026, and Houzz listed 4.3 from 12. BBB identified the firm with an A+ grade and no accreditation in September 2026.
