Mago Flooring is a Boston flooring contractor with an active Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration, #207508. Its website lists residential and commercial installation, refinishing, and repair, along with LVP and laminate work; it also offers painting. Recent customers describe pine-floor refinishing before a move and engineered-wood installation in Back Bay, with clear communication and a return visit to address minor issues after payment. A May 2026 customer says the crew finished a second flooring project earlier than expected and handled tricky areas; another recent review praises the finished floor and a clean home. A June 2026 customer reported unsealed edges and an extra charge to remove and reinstall baseboards. In an April 2023 review, a customer said dust spread upstairs during work and felt a plastic barrier should have been hung at the stairway. For installation or refinishing, the recent accounts point to detailed communication and follow-through, but agree on edge finishing, baseboard charges, and dust protection before work starts.
Did a terrible job leaving unsealing edges and charging me extra for just removing and reinstalling the baseboards when they did my flooring job. We would not recommend them to anyone
Great communication! We have an old home with pine planks and they refinished it before we moved in. I went with Mago flooring because of the professionalism of communication and detailed breakdown of what their services would include. The price was fair, and they were punctual and got the job done in the timeframe they had estimated.
Wonderful job! This is the second time we have gone with Mago for our floors and they always finish much earlier than anticipated. Communication is fantastic and they do a beautiful job with instillation. We had a few tricky areas but they always problem solve and figure out ways for the space to look its best
Mago Flooring did an excellent job installing engineered wood flooring in my Back Bay apartment. Communication with Gorvens was clear and consistent throughout the project, and he made sure everything was done right. Even after full payment, they came back to address a few minor items to ensure I was completely satisfied. Gorvens and his team are hardworking, professional, and maintained a great attitude from start to finish. Highly recommended!
Great team to work with! Attention to detail and very courteous. Always left house clean! Work was high quality. Love my floors!!!
