Mark-One is a Lowell dumpster, demolition and junk-removal company that's been around since the 1990s, and its record splits sharply between two eras. A long-time commercial customer wrote in 2015 about years of excellent, professional service — skilled drivers, timely deliveries and pickups, and safe demolition work on full house teardowns and bathroom demos. More recent reviews tell a different story. Two 2026 reviews describe company truck drivers cutting people off and nearly causing collisions — one names a specific license plate, another describes a near-miss with a child in the car. A 2024 review describes being turned away from the propane fill station before posted closing time by employees who didn't know how to operate the equipment, and a 2023 review describes being allowed to dump concrete at the yard on one visit, then refused the same service two months later with no explanation. On top of that, the only contractor license the company has claimed — HIC #151286 — expired in 2023 and was, per Massachusetts consumer-affairs records cited by BuildZoom, cancelled at one point. The Better Business Bureau still gives it an A+ with no complaints on file, and it carries active Massachusetts Women and Minority Business Enterprise certifications. Same-day dumpster rentals get praised when things go smoothly — one reviewer highlighted a driver named Jay who came back for a late pickup without hassle. But between the driving complaints, the licensing lapse and the inconsistent policies at the yard, this is a company worth double-checking on current licensing and getting terms in writing before booking.
One of their drivers almost killed me and my 5yo son this morning at the Ayer rotary... then proceeded to flip me the bird after I slammed on the brakes to avoid a collision. Re-evaluate your drivers please.
Was driving through chestnut hill this morning with your truck license plate X59792 and they are one of the most dangerous drivers I’ve ever witnessed. Kept cutting people off, almost killed me at a rotary I was already in when they sped up and cut me off when they didn’t have the right of way. You are going to kill someone.
Absolute clowns. Every time I go to get my propane filled. The new employees have no idea how to do it and sometimes even tell me they can't and I have to show them the accessory to use. Just went to get a tank filled pulled in at 4:45 when the sign clearly says they close at 5:00. And was refused serviced. Absolute clowns do not do not patronize this business.
I was here about 2 months ago and they allowed me to dispose of 2 yards of concrete in a concrete dumpster out back for $50 per yard with no mention of them not supposed to be allowing that. I then planned my day today around going here to dispose just a yard of concrete out of my truck so i could pick up a crib for my son right after but I was told they dont allow dumping there even though I literally just did it two months prior. Apparently theres a real lack of consistency and communication at this place.
Had a great experience with a dumpster rental. I was able to rent same day. The driver Jay was pretty awesome. Also, I needed a few more hours when they arrived for pickup and they were kind enough to come back.
