Mastercraft Waterproofing is a small Uxbridge, Massachusetts crew — owners Rob Racki and Tom do the estimates and much of the hands-on work themselves — that homeowners keep hiring for basement water problems: leaky bulkheads, cracked foundations, and fieldstone walls that seep every time it rains. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, and it carries a Better Business Bureau A+ grade as an accredited business since 2022. The thing that comes up again and again in reviews is that Rob and Tom tell customers what they DON'T need. In a 2023 review, a homeowner described getting quotes from four companies, two of which recommended a sump pump without even inspecting the property; Mastercraft found the real cause was a leaking chimney seal instead, fixed it under a lifetime guarantee, and saved the homeowner roughly $1,000. In a 2025 review, another homeowner said Rob determined a sump pump wasn't necessary at all and wrote up his recommendations for free, ahead of a different job that came later. The work described across the years spans perimeter and French drain installation, sump pump replacement and rerouting, exterior crack sealing on foundations — in a 2024 review, one job dug down nearly seven feet to reach the source of a leak — concrete apron replacement, and rerouting a dehumidifier's drain line. A recurring, specific detail across many reviews: the crew documents jobs with progress photos, and homeowners repeatedly said they couldn't tell any digging had happened once the crew left. Recent activity keeps the same shape: seven reviews in the last six months, all positive, describing the same pattern of a free estimate, a clear explanation of options, and a job finished on the timeline quoted. Google carries a 5.0-star rating from 49 ratings, Angi 5.0 from 45, and Porch 5.0 from 7; a Reddit thread in r/WorcesterMA also names them as the pick for basement and drainage work. There isn't a documented complaint in this record to weigh against that. The closest thing to friction described is a 2025 review where, after a successful French drain and sump install, the homeowner had a later flood when a stray piece of wood jammed the sump and a hose came loose from the backup float switch — the reviewer was explicit that the flood itself wasn't Mastercraft's fault, and said the company responded quickly and added a second pump. For a wet or cracked basement, this is a deep, consistent track record to work from. The main thing to bring to the first call is a clear description of the water pattern — several reviews describe getting a more accurate, and sometimes cheaper, diagnosis than competitors offered.

***HIGHLY RECOMMEND *** Rob and his team from Mastercraft Waterproofing did an amazing job installing a perimeter drain in my cellar to stop future water coming in. The space will now be usable. 🎉 I had 3 different companies come out to review the site and provide quotes. One company (big name in waterproofing systems) was off the charts expensive and was selling me things I did not need. The second company's salesman did not instill any confidence that he knew what he was talking about. Rob, the owner (not a salesman) of Mastercraft, came out and spent time explaining to me what was causing the water that was coming in, how he planned to address it and why. His price was fair and he did not oversell.
Can’t say enough about Mastercraft. Their customer service, rapid response, and honest appraisal of our situation was a breath of fresh air. True professionals!
I highly recommend Mastercraft Waterproofing, excellent customer service, outstanding overall experience. From the initial estimate throughout the process, sincerely impressed!
Mastercraft Waterproofing were so great to work with! I had a series of cracks in a basement wall that needed repair. They were prompt and professional and the cost was incredibly reasonable. I’d recommend them to anyone!
