Menotomy Plumbing & Heating is a small, family-run plumbing and heating company based in Arlington, Massachusetts. The business says it serves residential and commercial customers across Arlington and nearby towns, with more than 20 years of experience and services including plumbing, water heaters, boilers, heating, HVAC, and backflow prevention. Recent Google reviews from 2025 and 2026 consistently praise Paul for quick responses, clear explanations, fair or competitive pricing, careful troubleshooting, and dependable completion. Homeowners describe dishwasher and faucet repairs, toilet valves, backflow preventers, gas stove installation, and hot-water-heater replacement; one reviewer said Paul repaired a defective valve instead of recommending a full assembly replacement. The license picture needs checking before work begins. A state registry entry and BuildZoom show Massachusetts license 2876 as expired or inactive, while the company's website describes itself as licensed and insured and directory data lists a separate trade license expiring in 2028. Confirm the current credential and which license covers the planned work. Menotomy looks suited to Arlington-area customers seeking hands-on plumbing repairs, water-heater work, heating service, or small commercial jobs. Ask for a written estimate, current license confirmation, and the expected scope before scheduling.
Paul made an annoying plumbing issue with my dishwasher and a leaky faucet a pain free and smooth experience. The price was beyond fair and was much better than the prices quoted from other sources. He did a fantastic job and is easily going to be my plumber I go to for future needs.
Paul is a master at his craft. I had a bit of a tricky situation with an exterior ball valve. He was the only person who did not immediately quote an entire replacement of the whole assembly. Instead, he took the time to replace the defective valve. Worked perfectly. I'm sure there are other, skilled professionals, but to find one who will look at the problem and deal with the issue honestly and patiently is a rare find. Frankly, I am torn writing this review because when you find a great resource, the selfish desire is to keep it secret, but that would be a disservice to Menonoty Plumbing and to my fellow homeowners. Call them. You will not regret it.
Paul did a fantastic job for my business, punctual, spent every second to do the job right, fair pricing. i would call him for my future jobs.
Paul did an excellent job replacing the requested plumbing items, and even recommended an additional shutoff that needed repair. He is clearly an expert in his field, providing detailed explanations of pain points, and carefully advising possible solutions. Communication could be more thorough, but it is still easy to give 5 stars thanks to quality of service, competitive pricing, and simply a great attitude!
Paul has helped us out with plumbing issues on several occasions and we cannot recommend him enough! He is very responsive, does a great job, and competitively priced. You can tell he takes pride in his work. Definitely our go-to for all plumbing services!
