Millerworks Industries is a six-person Somerville painting company run by a husband and wife — Desmond Miller as managing director, Harrielle Boursiquot-Miller as chief operating officer. They say they started it together after Desmond spent years painting luxury homes on Nantucket, then across Cape Cod and Boston. The credentials are unusually tidy for a shop this size. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, held in the company's own name and good through February 2028. Its BBB page is an A+, accredited since February 2024, and the company lists a Massachusetts Lead-Safe Remodeler/Renovator credential issued in November 2021 — the paperwork that matters on pre-1978 housing. The work runs wider than a residential painter's. Interior and exterior painting and power washing are the centre of it, with carpentry, cabinet refinishing, staining and concrete floor coatings alongside. On Procore, where the company claimed its profile in September 2023, four projects average just over $409,000 apiece with two still active — commercial numbers, not kitchen-and-hallway numbers. A February 2022 builders' association spotlight described the company as family-run, and in September 2025 Suffolk Construction listed it among graduates of its Build With Us accelerator for Boston trade partners and subcontractors. What none of this comes from is customers. Neither BBB nor HomeAdvisor nor Angi carries a single review, so the A+ and the accreditation stand in for an outside verdict. The tenure story doesn't line up either: BBB records the business as started in May 2020 and incorporated that September, while the 2022 spotlight put it past ten years in operation. If the job is a condo association, a senior-housing building or a commercial exterior, this is a company sized and licensed for that scale. Ask for addresses of recent jobs of the same type and speak to those property managers — with no written history to read, references are the check that matters.
