Monteiro Plumbing & Heating

Water heaters are what people write about when they write about Monteiro Plumbing & Heating. A May 2023 customer had one replaced quickly, at what they called a reasonable price; a March 2023 customer had the same job done and singled out the communication. The Medford company's listings also cover faucet, fixture and pipe repairs, sump pumps, and plumbing for home additions. The two places it is rated pull in opposite directions. On Angi, whose reviews HomeAdvisor mirrors, the average is 4.2 across 172 ratings — two thirds of them five stars, and 12% at one or two, which Angi's own profile describes as complaints about pricing and cleanup. On Google, it has two ratings and both are one star: a February 2018 reviewer wrote "Very unprofessional and rude", and an October 2020 reviewer wrote "Rude and unprofessional". The written accounts run from 2018 to 2023. The 2022 and 2023 ones are the warm end of that split — an October 2022 customer called the work prompt and performed as needed, and an August 2022 customer said they would hire them again. One more thing to square: Angi's page says the company has been at this over 15 years in one place and 36 years in another. For a water heater swap or a fixture replacement in Medford, that is the work customers describe and the work the profiles list. Get the price in writing before anyone starts, and settle who is cleaning up afterwards — those are the two things behind the low ratings.
