MRP Carpentry holds a 5-star Google rating from four ratings. A 2025 customer said they hired Matt to paint two rooms and replace all of the original painted trim, including the windows, doors and baseboards, with stained oak trim. That 2025 customer said he also did a few extra things. A 2025 customer who lived in a Longmeadow house for 28 years wrote that Matt closed up a hole in a wall left by an old built-in air conditioner, and that when he finished it was impossible to tell, inside and out, that there had been a hole there. The same 2025 customer wrote that he matched the 30+ year-old siding, built shelves and walls, and painted most of the interior of the house, including the unfinished basement walls and floor. That 2025 customer also said Matt arrived when he said he would or called or texted to say he might be running late. A 2025 customer wrote that they had been working with Matt on multiple projects over the previous five years. Another 2025 customer said Matt's work was promptly completed and that he was a good communicator.

Matt's work was excellent and was promptly completed. Even more surprising, he's a good communicator and responds quickly to questions. Highly recommended.
Matt is fantastic! I've been working with him on multiple projects over the last five years. Dependable, communicative, thorough, and will get the job done RIGHT.
There are not enough words to describe how PLEASED & LUCKY I am to have found Matt as my new go-to contractor. I hired him to paint 2 rooms and replace all of the original painted trim (windows, doors and all of the baseboards) with stained oak trim. He also did a few extra things too. Matt exudes integrity and is extremely conscientious and meticulous with his work. He is an exemplary contractor and I can't wait to have him back to my house for future projects. If I could give more than 5 stars, I certainly would. Thanks Matt!!!!
I lived in the same house in Longmeadow for 28 years (sold in 2024) and Matt, by far, was the most professional and skilled contractor I used to update and repair my home. He went above and beyond in terms of the work but also was professional in his estimates and charges. He showed respect for my time and arrived when he said he would or called/texted to say he might be running late. Most importantly, the work was so expertly done. He closed up a giant hole in my wall that had been home to an old built-in air conditioner and when he was finished it was impossible to tell, inside and out, that there had ever been a hole there. He even matched the 30+ y/o siding. He built shelves and walls, and painted most of the interior of the house (including the unfinished basement walls and floor). I moved out of the area last year and so wish Matt lived closer, because we haven’t been able to find anyone as professional or reliable.
