New England Carpenters is a Massachusetts outfit whose real specialty is decks and porches — call in Rossatto and his crew for a rebuild, a staircase that needs fixing, or a porch that's started to sink, and review after review tells the same story: they show up, explain the problem, and fix it right. Across 44 weighted reviews on Google, Thumbtack, HomeAdvisor and Angi — nearly all 5 stars — homeowners describe full deck rebuilds, staircase repairs, and one especially thorough porch renovation that involved jacking a sinking second-floor porch, replacing rotted framing and three support posts, and reinstalling the floors, ceilings, walls and siding underneath it. Beyond decks, the crew does custom carpentry — a built-in pantry, closet shelving, a sliding-door conversion — and, in winter, snow plowing that draws nearly as much detailed praise as the carpentry itself, with reviewers noting they clear driveways plus the doorsteps and edges a plow alone would miss. The pattern across jobs big and small — a $1,000 shed repair, a $4,100 porch job, a $25,000 framing project — is punctuality and cleanup: crews arrive on schedule, flag weather delays ahead of time instead of going quiet, and leave the site clear of debris. Several reviewers mention getting a written estimate within hours of reaching out, and one homeowner who'd already been burned by a botched job from a previous contractor singled out this crew for saving it. One thing worth knowing before calling: the same reviews turn up under two names. Google credits "New England Carpenters," while identical write-ups on Thumbtack and HomeAdvisor are attributed to "Deck New England." It reads like a rebrand or a dba rather than two separate companies, but it's worth confirming which name is on the estimate before signing anything. For a deck build, a porch that needs real structural work, or built-in carpentry, this is a crew with a deep, consistent record behind it — just double-check which entity name they're using this season.
I hired this company for a new deck build. Rossatto was great to work with from start to finish, and the crew did an excellent job. I would recommend!
We are so happy we hired New England Carpenters for our deck. With having an unexpected deck collapse and needing someone to come address it quickly, this team was professional, timely, and the finished product came out beautiful. We will be definately reaching out for future projects.
I hired New England Carpenters to finish a half completed job and they did a fantastic job. They were timely, communicative, and kept a clean work area. Would recommend without hesitation.

Wow! These guys are such a breath of fresh air. We met with about a dozen contractors to add stairs to our deck and even hired someone, but he completely botched the job so we had to start over. Tiago and his amazing crew totally saved the day! From the beginning, he stood out for his prompt communication, timeliness, and for providing such a professional, thoughtful, and detailed project overview. He is also very detail oriented and passionate about his craft, which really shows in his work. He was also very flexible and accommodating to our project and budget goals. The project was completed in time and we are so happy with the product. Will definitely be hiring him again for future projects! Thank you Tiago and crew!
