This, That & the Other Handyman of Boxford is run by Adam, and the through-line across 13 five-star Google reviews is range — he shows up for whatever's broken, from a stuck window to a rotted deck step to a snowblower that needs a tune-up before winter. A recent review (June 2026) describes an effective window repair at 'a very reasonable price'; another from May 2026 details fixing trim and molding plus a water-damaged laundry-room ceiling left behind after a floor replacement. Further back, reviews from late 2025 and earlier 2026 describe similarly hands-on jobs: three pocket doors rehung after he worked out the right hardware for heavy openings, a rotted deck step rebuilt and a banister resecured, drafts around a new microwave install fixed the same day he was called, and winter servicing for a snowblower and lawnmower — in one case picked up on a Friday night and returned, tuned up, by Saturday. Every one of the 13 reviews on file is five stars, running from November 2025 through June 2026, with no complaints among them. Several reviewers mention using him for more than one project — including truck repairs and other around-the-house fixes — and planning to call again, the kind of repeat business that comes from being reliably good across a wide range of unglamorous jobs. He's the call for the odd jobs a bigger contractor won't take on — window and door fixes, deck and trim repair, small equipment servicing — rather than a single specialty trade, so it's worth describing the job upfront to confirm it's in his range.

Adam was responsive, straightforward, and professional. Had a window repair job to do that was beyond my DIY abilities, and he took care of it quickly and effectively and for a very reasonable price. Will absolutely give him a call again if we have other home repair work that we either can't or don't have time to do ourselves!
After having our floor replaced, we were left with a number of issues, including repairing or replacing trim and molding. We called This That and the Other Handyman service, and from the moment Adam surveyed the problems and offered his recommendations, we knew we’d made the right call. He also took care of a water-damaged ceiling in our laundry room that had left us not knowing how to properly seal it. He was totally professional and wanted to insure we were totally satisfied with his work. We were. And if you hire Adam for your next home improvement project, you’ll be satisfied too. Adam is easy to work with, returns calls and is very dependable. We highly recommend him and plan to use him for all our future projects.
Adam did a great job !Quick response and turnaround of getting the job done. Price was very reasonable. He is the handyman that gets all those jobs you don’t have time to do. Very neat and cleaned up when he was done.Highly recommend! Will definitely be using him again
Adam is efficient, kind and very skilled! Plus he's a vet. Highly recommend!
Adam recently completed a job for us which included the repair of 3 pocket doors. We’re very happy with his work! He assessed the job the week prior & quickly determined the hardware required for the heavy doors & his likely approach. He was able to pivot intelligently while performing the repairs as each opening presented unique problems. We’re very comfortable recommending Adam and we’re thrilled to have a competent handyman to hire for future work! By the way, he’s also friendly and easy to talk to!
