The reviews keep circling back to the owner, Mike (Mike Deloia), handling jobs personally: an initial consultation and detailed estimate, then a crew that shows up and finishes. The specific jobs described are the kind that need judgment, not just labor — pulling up an original 1929 floor to see if it could be saved (it couldn't, so they laid a new Fir floor instead), refinishing a home's 1949 hardwood and helping pick bathroom and kitchen tile to match, sourcing reclaimed barn wood through a supplier called Tennessee Wood Flooring for a three-room job, and offering a homeowner a cheaper repair instead of a full kitchen-floor replacement. A basement flooring job was finished start to finish in one day, and a sanding-and-staining project covering three floors plus stairs wrapped in under a week. Two reviews break from that pattern. In July 2023 one customer called the installation and the carpet/flooring itself "horrible" with no further detail, and in January 2023 another said they'd asked for the best and got "a hack job and poor quality flooring." Neither spells out what specifically went wrong. Given how much of the praise centers on matching or restoring older, non-standard floors, this looks like a solid call for a tricky refinishing or matching job — just get the material and installation details nailed down in writing up front, especially after the two complaints above.
