New Line Flooring is a Watertown hardwood-flooring contractor run by Bomfilho Santos, who is identified on the company's website as president. The company says it has been operating for over 20 years and offers hardwood installation, removal, sanding, staining, sealing, buffing, polyurethane protection, repairs, refinishing, and restoration in the Greater Boston area. A 2025 Google review describes a homeowner's decision to replace second-floor carpeting with hardwood and speaks positively about the installation experience, though the excerpt available here is brief. A public-record listing also matches the company's name and 15 Ralph Street address in Watertown. Before booking, ask for a written estimate, the exact hardwood and finish specifications, the expected preparation and cleanup plan, and references for work comparable to yours. The company states that it is fully insured, but confirm current coverage and availability directly before scheduling. They appear suited to homeowners seeking hardwood installation or restoration in Greater Boston. Confirm the scope, timeline, warranty, and who will perform the work during the estimate.

For a long time, I was procrastinating about converting my floors on the second floor from wall to wall carpeting to hardwood. The idea of emptying all the drawers and closets, moving furniture around and enduring dust and sounds of installation didn’t make me feel excited to say the least. Last October or there about, I got introduced to Bomfilho Santos, owner of New Line Flooring. He came to give me an estimate surprisingly for contractors very promptly (next day). He measured the area, explained the scope of work, assured me that he and his crew will do all the heavy lifting. Also suggested going with pre-finished hardwood, as that minimizes dust and debris during installation. He was very friendly, answered every one of my questions with the smile and what’s more important with direct eye contact. It made me feel that I am dealing with a straight shooter and I won’t endure “unexpected” charges after the job is done. During the month after that, as any consumer, I collected more quotes for the job. Those other companies were not far below or above Bomfilho, but each one of them had some omissions that he didn’t. One said “we don’t move furniture”, which was frustrating, the other wanted to sway me to engineered materials, which I knew was chipper, but their complete price for the job was higher that New Line. And so on. So finally, this April, I’ve zeroed in on New Line Flooring, contacted Bomfilho and he came out again, this time with floor samples. We decided on start date and wood delivery date, which is normally a week prior (for wood to acclimate to house temperature and humidity). I will not go into day by day installation process, but the whole job, that he quoted 3-4 days, and other companies week to week and a half, was done in 2 days. The floors came out perfect, gleaming and appealing to the eye. They left me with some leftover material, just in case we’ll need to replace or repair floors. Also, they constantly were using vacuum cleaner, so there was minimal dust left and everything was put on its place. We finished the transaction by me writing a check and Bomfilho said that when he gives the price, it’s the price customer pays. In conclusion, I highly recommend Bomfilho Santos and his company New Line Flooring. He is honest, trustworthy and upstanding gentlemen and his work is implacable and up to anyone standard.
