Sir Grout of Greater Boston is a Watertown franchise built around one narrow trade: regrouting, cleaning, sealing and restoring tile, grout and stone that's already installed, not laying new floors. It's the local branch of the national Sir Grout brand, run solely by owner Chris Wyand, who says he previously worked as a project manager for the largest mechanical contractor in the Northeast before opening this location. The business carries an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. The review volume is unusual for a specialty trade like this: 68 reviews dating back to 2017, spread across Google, Angi and HomeAdvisor and clustered at 4.9 stars, with eleven landing in just the past six months and none of them negative. Two technicians, Brian and Jimmy, come up by name again and again — matching grout color precisely enough that reviewers call it out specifically, cleaning tile "several shades whiter," and, in one 2024 review, bringing a shower that dated to 1976 back to life without trying to disguise its age. One self-described heavy DIYer who let his wife talk him into hiring out a kitchen and bath grout job said the results beat what he could have done himself. Several customers have called the company back a second time for more bathrooms. A couple of things worth raising before you book. Two reviews two years apart — one from 2022, one from 2024 — describe the company's own website listing the customer's town as covered, only to be told by phone that it isn't; the 2024 reviewer also mentioned a $600 project minimum. Separately, a January 2026 review describes a technician flushing leftover grout down a toilet and clogging it, with the owner reportedly telling the customer that's "industry standard" — a specific, recent complaint worth asking about if crew cleanup matters to you. This is the right call for tired, stained or cracked tile and grout in a shower, on a kitchen or bathroom floor, or on a stone counter, when the goal is restoring what's there rather than tearing it out. Confirm your specific town is on the current service list before scheduling, and ask how the crew handles debris and waste during the job.

I couldn’t be happier with the work Sir Grout did on my shower. Jimmy arrived on time, was courteous and professional, and did an excellent job from start to finish. My shower was worn and in rough shape, but now it looks completely refreshed and almost brand new. The results were even better than I expected, and I would gladly recommend Jimmy to anyone looking for quality grout and tile work.
